I can only play the game for 6.5 minutes at a time.

I'm hoping for some sort of insight on this issue. Starting early this morning, whenever I'm in game, like clockwork, every 6.5 minutes I get a huge lag spike that I will eventually recover from or it will just boot me back to login. This is very consistent as I've been keeping track of the times it has been happening. I can't figure out what event in game or maybe from my ISP is occurring at that specific interval which causes this issue. I've tried the usual easy solutions. Restarted computer, reset modem, addons turned off. firewall off. Tried google dns instead of my standard. Nothing seems to be helping. Every 6.5 mintues I get hit and it's driving me insane.

Sorry buddy i could not help my self there , i don't know what to say the timing of it quiet strange ,

Do you have something running in background maybe ?
Has this happen before around the same time ?
During other hours of the day dose the same thing happen ?

I'll be keeping track and see if any other patterns show up. I've had similar intermittent issues with being booted to login but they weren't so structured so I chalked that up to random disconnects or server issues in the past. Other hours of the day? Not sure. This has been very specifically every 6.5 minutes since about 3pm this afternoon for all the times I've been logged in so for just over 9 hours straight now.

How your internet speed ? are you sure your not having dropouts ?

The reason why i asked about other days or other times is you might have congestion on the line ( in peak hours many people using the internet at the same time from the same exchange can slow down your speed dramatically )

i presume your rig is connected via lan cable and not wifi so that would rule that out..

I know your have already powered your modem off and on .

Try running speed tests a few times in different hours of the day and also when you get booted out of the game run it quick to see if the speed might have dropped

worst case scenario do you think it could be your video card or rig ? could it be overheating and having lag and due to the lag you get kicked out ? have you tried putting your resolution down and see if that changes anything ?

Try running a add on that would show your computer temp video card temp and make sure the fans of your rig are clean ( they can get allot of dust in them) that might be another cause of it.

Have you also check how much free space you have on your HDD ?

I know its allot of questions but a strange thing like that you need do a process of elimination

I will try to go through many of these suggestions and see if it helps. My one main concern is the exact timing. 6.5 minutes. It's unlikely that any of these things would trigger at that exact interval for a 9+ hour period of time ranging from mid day to prime time. I'm not disconnecting entirely from the internet. Actually, all of my internet activities are fine except ESO. If I'm in teamspeak, my voice comes through just fine during the spikes. Every 6.5 minutes, regardless of anything else I'm doing online or lack thereof, ESO just says NO.

yhea that is really really strange.. one other thing i can think of try creating a new character on another server and try playing to see if same problem happens if it dose then that might rule out the servers.

I am also getting constantly kicked. I am logging into my characters to do writs and I can only play for less than 10min before extreme lag or a disconnect.

I am on Xbox NA. Characters are in Craglorn.

I found out what the problem likely is. My ISP has just announced a known connectivity problem and it seems to be widespread in my area. It doesn't seem to be an issue with the game at all.
