Tanking set for DK

Im imperial dk tank and I will be using bloodspawn do ultimate generation and 5 histbark for dodge will blocking but what weapon set and jewelry should i use?

Alkosh is still good but it depends if you're going for a main tank build or an off tank because if off tank you could and probably should go tavas but main tank would be ebon or alkosh. I'd get rid of hist bark imo and just use shuffle since that's a skill that provides that buff.

Good points, but you can't get Tavas on jewelry. You could wear Tavas instead of Hist Bark though.

Other secondary set options could be Leeching, or Bahara's.

Start with ebon Its really a great set many raid groups use.

From there you can could it with Alkosh when you get that. Usually rings and S&B since the armor is medium. Beyond this sets raid groups want when 2 tanks are used will carry from powerful assault sns work to lunar bastion, etc.

If your just starting out farm the ebon (every single piece except head and shoulders. And look to finish it out with either dragon or werewolf which are both BoE sets. Easy to piece together until getting other gear.

I suggest WW and dragon as full ins since they help get you to fill ult faster which is a big source of stat regen.

Edit: I'd suggest WW over Tavas though Tavas is crafted so easier to squire. Requires use of the medium armor skill or it's worthless. WW serves the same purpose and doesn't require any specific skills.

But shuffle doesn't last long and it is expensive. Tava isnt really much since I'm wearing bloodspawn. Im considering ebony armory and I all be grinding alot in group dungeons so bahara curse is great but it takes forever to farm all jewelry and sword and shields.

Don't use that build mate it's not worth it. Just use shuffle instead of histbark as that set has no use when the skill can replace it's entirety. If you wanna build ultimate for your group really fast go 2 Blood spawn 5 Tavas and 5 dragon-guard (15% reduction in ultimate cost). This right there will give you a ultimate spamming machine (well close but better than others).

The ebon and Alkosh is basically what many of us have suggested. It's pretty standard though you'll be farming a bit for Alkosh shields. Worth it.

Run Blood Spawn, Hist, and Ebon to start. As you get more experienced, move your ebon to the body, get alkosh and lord warden

Who said anything about Shuffle.

My tank has 5 Piece Hist, 5 Piece Werewolf, 2 Piece Bloodspawn.

If your going to get Bahrara, it synergizes well with Savara's Scales, at least before Homestead, I would never die using those two sets. I only switched to Hist/Werewolf/Bloodspawn so I could be more group support. But I may go back to Bahrara/Syvara. Then again I just noticed the One Hand/Shield Ultimate, and it only costs 100 before discounts.

Besides, Hews Bane is dropping doubles for the next two weeks, so now is the time to farm.

Im really fine on vet dungeons, and triying to get into trials but not luck for now.

Any opinion on Plague Doctor? Because everyone just recomend Ebon and i dont see the win there, just 1k hp for party members?

Hist Bark helps you. Ebon helps the group. At the start, sets that help you will help you understand mechanics and be more forgiving. Once you get to End Game Tanking (Vet Trails/HM), you're gonna want more sets that help the group and lesss support for you

Everyone? A regular double digit K shield on the group is greater than 1K health and Plague Doctor IS part of that recipe.

In a trial you are donating 12k HP to the group, this allows DDs to put more attribs into their main resource. Granted, in 4 man content Ebon doesn't come to the fore so much, but every edge helps in the vet trials.

PD does give a lot of health but I found that I was naturally getting the health I needed without it once I loaded up on tri-glyphs. I have two tanks, one is a NB sap tank for 4 man content and she runs Leeching Plate, Malubeth and Ebon, but am about to try Rattlecage over Ebon to get more damage in the 4 man vet content because that should buff the sap-heals more (although they are high anyway), although I am not sure if that's the way to approach it, but I just treat that tank as a clothes horse to experiment with set combos. And I have a trials tank who runs Bloodspawn, Tavas and Ebon.

Is there any proof or data that can back this up? Don't get me wrong, I use ebon on my trials tank, but I only do so because all the dps cry if I don't. I have talked to other dps, and from personal experience, and the majority say that the 1k extra hp rarely saves them, in a trials setting at least. And by rare, I mean like once every 2-3 runs on average.

What I dont like about Hist Bark is that 20% dodge is nice - but happens random.
So you dont know when it hits, and therefore as a tank you have to use your defensive abilites anyway, and as a healer you have to heal anyway.

How often does the ebon +1k live make a difference - mostly psichologically when you apply for a tank job

And from a "usefull proc"-perspective I'm not aware of any no brainer - maybe thats why so many other sets get mentioned and obviously work....

Hm... how well would powerful assault pair with black rose?
I don't have any powerful assault items yet,but I do have all 7 black rose armor and 3 black rose jewelry.

Maybe i could use powerful assault weapon/shield and 3 armor slots then keep a monster set 2pc

competitive meta tanking is going to ask you to wear 2 Bloodspawn, 5 Powerful Assault, 5 Alkosh OR 2 Bloodspawn, 5 Powerful Assault, 5 Ebon

usually both tanks would coordinate and wear those sets to compliment the raid. and you WILL be tanking in at least 5 medium armor. yes. that is truth. unless you are the one wearing ebon. . .maybe, totally depends on what pieces make up your 5 piece.

if you dont want to go that route, tanking meta goes out the window. I was tanking in 5 seducer, 5 rattlecage as a magicka dk. Tava's is a good set for ulti regen but you have to keep elude active at all times. but at the end of the day, a tank can wear whatever he/she wants and tank content in ESO. dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

Good luck farming - its reaaaaaaally boring till you get 2 rings, necklace, sword and shield with proper traits.
Maybe go for a health check, no to pop a vein after getting the fifth prosperous shield
