1. Additional storage
2. Allow us to place mundus stones in it
3. Allow us to start, and turn in writs at our home. Make it a mailing system if you want.
4. Allow us to grow alchemy reagents.

Those are my four, if you think I missed an important one, feel free to comment.

I like all of these ideas.

Another idea people where saying was being able to store armour sets I think that would be a great idea

I disagree with mundus stones (I mean how often do you change anyway? just make the trip!)

I agree with starting writs, but not finishing writs at houses.

2 is nice, but I'd replace it with fully functional assistants.

Also, put a Wayshrine there too. There, fixed!

The other are exactly on point on how to fix it.

I havent't been in my house in days now.

I'm a big fan of Ultima Online housing. I'd like to see more features that brought the communities to peoples homes.

    1. Storage - Chests would be ideal but armor racks would be enough. At least give us the ability to change armor between characters.

    2. Add vendors - In UO peoples homes became well known because of their vendors.

    3. Showcase - Give us a way to visit peoples homes that they submit.

    4. Fully functioning banker and vendor (make crown prices more reasonable).

I don't think that adding another storage system (this would be the 3rd or 4th, if you include the crafting bag) is the way to go. It's already difficult enough managing the stuff already. Instead they should increase the char/bank size for us.

What I would like to see is being able to interact with out bank through chests, etc. Maybe adding a filter so that a certain chest only show rings or weapons.

Pages in the bank would be awesome, break the 240 so we can put items in groups and change the tabs rather than scrolling endlessly through. Equipment on one, potions on another, is etc.

I've often thought about the animation one goes through when porting to a friend/wayshrine etc. To me it looks like some kind of trance dance rave busting move IMHO.

I could realistically see how cool a 'portal' would be in your home, or in fact anywhere else in open world Tamriel, similar to the perk of merchant and banker, (initial crown store purchase, so might be unpopular to those who see the store as a money sink) It doesn't have to be a honking great wayshrine, not everyone has a home big enough to support a large one anyway, but merely you open your own portal, you go through your own rave dance move, and jump. It could have some kind of amount of use restriction placed upon it if deemed necessary.

    Maybe one day...

Maybe one day in the future time scale of Nirn, there will be such a thing as a dragon too. maybe you might even be able to fly on the dragon, they also say that anything is possible with enchanting, allegedly.

Housing is already useful for those who enjoy it as housing. Not everyone sees it as just a means to do all their normal activities in their own private instance or as a means to fixing what they see as an inventory management problem with the game.

Suggesting ways of making housing more useful than it is already is another matter altogether, but I'm personally opposed to anything that removes the need for people to spend time out in the game world rather than just in their own private little world.

I have no reason to go to my closet erm...house. I sadly have the banker and merchant and everyone knows their limitations. You can't get away from having to go into town. Writs, guild store banking and repairs.

They've had plenty of opportunity to get this stuff right, but keep on f ing it up.

We've been asking for more storage since the game came out. Apparently only 3% of the player base actually wants or needs it.

We've seen them move the writs turn in spots, so you would think this is not impossible.....

Mundus stone in my closet? How bout if you can just change them at will on character sheet.

It may be worth buying a bigger house with a yard if I could grow alchemy stuff there. Until then there's no reason for any of this stuff.

Always annoys me that every ***, Tom and Harry you meet while questing can open portals but the Vestige, the saviour of Nirn, can't.

Instead of mundus stones in my house, id much prefer a wayshrine. Link it with the explorer achievement and make it 100k gold, whatever. I could also see them crown selling additional house assistants. Like a smith for repairs, maybe a stable-master to train horses.

***S-T-O-R-A-G-E***-So simple to implement, hell even if its an eso plus achievement that costs gold like the display eso item we have now. Make it like a display vault or something. Have house size effect it, apartment=10 extra bank slots, manor=50 extra bank slots.

You can have vendors in your home, by getting the banker and merchant from the crownstore

but lets think outside of the crate (see what i did there?) and pus hfor TelVar merchants in your home!!

It is a bit of a hasstle but if you get the free starter room in Auridion (Mara's Kiss I think) then there is a wayshrine just outside the main door.

The wayshrine in Daggerfall is also not far from the Red Lion in Glenumbra.

I port to my home often. Just outside the gate, there are loads of rich nodes to harvest, at least 4 treasure chests to loot and excellent fishing spots. It only takes 10 min or so to do a quick round of all the spots on my way to the Wayshrine - or porting to the Mara's Kiss pub.

There are always ways and means of working around these problems. o:)

I really just want usable storage.

The more you start to implement these nice things that prevent you from going out in the world, you will start seeing cities depleting from their average population and will start to seem dried out.

It's already sad to go exploring through some cities and maybe come across one other adventurer. While most people are in the main ones... Grahtwood/Deshaan/Stonefalls etc... I don't think we need to completely get rid of the need to go to towns.

Wayshrine would also be nice though. (But you can use friends list or guild roster to quick port)

Storage, most of the above, storage, plus a means to organise sets of gear that can be swapped out with a single key. Also, storage (how this "didn't make the cut" is beyond bizarre).
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

I'd like to see 'programmable' NPCs added.
Up to 10 in a manor, 5 in large home, and 2 in small home.

You could have them as guards, workers..anything. You could set the routes they walk on, and use the emotes/actions already in the game to make them interact with the environment etc.

Would make the place feel a lot more alive.

I am not even that fussed about raw storage. What I want is the ability to display items, i.e. Mannequins and Weapon racks. Obviously there could be some storage built into that.

I have 2 visions for mannequins.

First, a mannequin that you could basically bind to a set. For example, you could have a Moondancer Mannequin and it would hold all your moondancer gear and display it. This would kill two birds, storage and visual. Most people with hoarding problems have 5-10 sets that really make up a lot of their inventory.

Second, a mannequin that you could load with specific gear loadout. For example, I could load a mannequin with 5 BSW, 4 Moondancer, 2 Llambris (just using my sorc build as an example). Then, any character could equip the loadout once you have it set up. This would be huge for inventory management. Less swapping, and less need to carry duplicates.

Other things I want in no particular order:

-More furniture space, my manor still has several rooms to go and I am about out of room (yes I have eso+).
-More collectible space, 10 is a ridiculously low number, especially considering we paid good crowns for a lot of this stuff.
-Writ board and turn in spots, would pay serious money for this.
-Stable master, considering my manor has a stable, seems silly I cant feed a horse.
-More robust assistants, when placed in a home, Bankers should give access to a guild bank, merchants should repair, and the thieves guild dude should launder. Huge oversight IMO.
-More stable infrastructure, it would be nice to be able to build platforms that you wouldnt fall through everytime you get knocked back. Talking about dueling here.
-Porting. OMG FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, why do I have to port twice every time I leave my house. I have to travel to a friend, then travel to where I want to go. Either that or walk out the door to a wayshrine, either way its a double load screen. You could even sell a wayshrine in the crownstore, and I would probably gobble it up.

I like that Mannequin idea, Since there already is a Mannequin NPC in hew's bane:
    Screenshot_20170308_143919_zpscpsnpfee.png
I think they could take that NPC code, add a UI element that allows the drag/drop of equipment onto the NPC, which would wear that gear. Add in a button to unequip and deposit all gear the mannequin has equipped in your inventory. The Mannequin NPC could be placed under it's own unique category limit such to allow a little bit of gear storage. I'd limit it at a rate of 1 mannequin per house, with a modifier by size by (aka, small = 1, medium= 3, = huge = 5)

The problem with making housing "useful" is that you can buy houses on the CS.

Make it useful and all of a sudden you have advantage available in the cash shop.

As long as what is considered "useful" can be found in homes bought with in-game gold; I see no issue.
