Agreed, this would be awesome.
My character has been riding her guar for a long long time now and they have formed a very strong bond. He follows her every where, its like one whistle and boom there he is.
When she is running , he is right there, so she whistles and boom come to a full stop, then mount and take a couple seconds to get up to speed.
Why can't my character run and whistle at the same time, why must she come to a stand still to mount?
Thus I conclude that mounting while running makes so much more sense then coming to a full stop to whistle for a mount.

Hmmm... maybe it's lag but if I'm running and press H my character goes mount speed for a second and then climbs on top the saddle while both the mount and the character are running....

I've had this happened to me a couple of times. Though I'm not completely sure how I did that when it does happen.

I'd like it, if the mounts don't just disappear, when we dismount (i know magic and all that)... they could just keep standing there or trot away.

a maxed out char can and doesn't have to be a native american to do that.

Mounts are fine. I want sailboats. Or water mounts so I don't swim so slow and get eatn by slaughterfish.

That's a single player game though, isn't it? So the illusion of your mount not just appearing out of thin air but approaching from behind works.

In an MMO everyone's mounts would have to appear out of thin air at some point behind them. Other players would see it. It would look bizarre.

It's already kind of weird that mounts magically pop out of thin air on demand but if they're going to do that it makes more sense that it happen where you are as opposed to 5 metres behind you.

that looks cool and is efficient too.

my mount system seems broken- nothing will happen, i end up having to spam it twice, then it ll catch up and my guy will jump on and off again. for something as essential as ride speed and transport i wish it was taken care of.
