What's the new FOTM?

MagSorc Haunting curse does nothing really in PvP. As good sorcs will recast it, what's been a nice boost is the atro hitting 25% harder, not to mention the unreflectable crushing and the fire staff boost.

MagDK, alot more people are using them. They did get stronger in terms of survivability, that heal is very strong and when paired with burning embers, they can go on for a long time. Their whip now hits 5% harder. They are not doing Boku damage now but their survivability increased, and the root spam is crazy.

StamPlar, they are alot better now. And you have good burst sustain, good healing and the ability to purify. They are just finally good. But they are not in any way OP. Thier main burst can be purged off or blocked. Roots and speed really hurt their jabs as it's hard to aim aswell. But they are in a good place. Skilled players are having a blast with them.

Stam Sorc is still great, stam DK lost some of the burst if you relied heavily on proc sets, but are still good. StamBlade still be ganking.

Magplar gained a strong burst too with purifying light but still lost the spear stun (which while great in PvE DPS wise) means they are relying on the gap closer for stuns. But overall they are doing just fine.

Magblade got the hardest nerfs to their viable playstyles, the auto attacking pets really hurt their usefulness in PvP. The increase in cost of swallow soul. They are not horrible by any means and people like Kena use them wonderfully. But they are the most lacking.

So to answer the question. Just like in PvE dps the dominating FOTM are magDK and magSorc. Which has led to a ton of bad DK and sorcs to kill lol.

Because the problem with FOTM, is when you are jumping from spec to spec you never GIT GUD with any particular spec and don't know how to counter certain situations which is only learned through a good amount of practice. Such as Kena on his magblade and Fengrush on his stamSorc....

Ive killed alot of new stamplars since homestead including some good PVPrs who run mag normally. Stamplars aren't noob friendly. With their poor resource managment and zero mobility they take time to get the nuances. I spent months honing my stamplar game just to have to fight for repentance with all the noobs rolling stamplars. It takes more than power of the light wrecking blow spam and jabs to win consistently. Gear choice matters, alot of stamplars (myself included) run hulking for the stamina boost due to low sustain.

MagDK. Go to the grind spots and see lots of players whip it like Indiana Jones. Farming Burning Spellweave out of CoA.

Actually, the new FOTM is really Burning Spellweave, Illambris and any ol Mag toon. Throw in a sharpened plain gold Lightning staff and you'll see why it's FOTM. 2 spells and a heavy attack just melts things.

Stamplar does hit pretty hard BUT... even with CP, stamina management can be super tough... especially if you want to wear all heavy.

Thats what Zenimax wants. Every class to be the same.

so far after coming back after 2 years away, left due to pvp being in THIS SAME BS STATE, it is still the same. Game having 1 op'd meta that is unkillable.

Flavor of the month. The kids call it META now, because kids are much less educated now and don't really understand the English language. Also they are generally talking about any class change that makes someone else's class appearing to have advantage on them, real or imagined.

Correct. Magsorc is dominating in both PvE and PvP, but magDKs are the most powerful class right now in PvP (not as well known though). Their damage is ridiculous, and with their new BoL they're unkillable since the OP heal from embers didn't get its much needed nerf.

^ agree but at the same itme mDks aren't that bad

Dragonblood had one patch of not being the huffest thing in the game—it was good, it hit for 9-10k. It's very average now. If I'm hit by a major defile it won't even crit for 5k.
