Should DLC motifs count towards Master Writ chances?

Thieves Guild, Assassin's League, ect. These take time and effort to fully collect - Do you think they should count towards your chance to get Master Writs? Why or why not?

There is a lot of debate among people that I play with on what counts and what doesn't. I personally think that all non crown store only motifs should count, but I get the feeling that only achievements in the crafting section do.

Yes. While you may not be able to farm them if you don't own the DLC, you can still buy them like everyone else, so it is not like you can't access it at all.

Because of that, I think they should count.

Otherwise there are few motifs since the blue motifs do not count for the master writs.

yes, they can be bought on the guild store so everyone can get them.

    But DLC sets shouldn't.

I believe the master writs should be a true showing of a master crafter. Someone having more traits and motifs has spent more time, energy, and gold on crafting. More motifs makes it more difficult to have them all. I'm far from 100% of motifs, but those who have more should be rewarded.

I don't mind them being a part of the writs but DLC should certainly be worth more vouchers simply because of the hassle. I just received a 7 writ voucher for and armor master shield in order hour style. That's an expensive motif and a pain to travel to for 7 writs.

As long as the motifs are available to all players through the Guild Stores, and not behind a paywall (i.e. Crown Store exclusive motifs), then yes they should be included. No one is at a disadvantage and it encourages a healthy economy.

Honestly, I don't believe having all the motifs does anything to improve your chances on getting a Master Crafting writ, and if it does, it's so insignificant to really make a difference.

It doesn't count the blues or the DLC motifs, and it won't count unless you have the entire motif learned - Even if you have all of the chapters for a given style except for 1 page, it won't improve your chances until you complete it.

As long as crown store exclusive motifs don't count I don't really have a complaint about the current system, would be nice if master writs gave a bit more vouchers though. There are so many things on the vendor that cost so much but I guess they really want to stretch this out till Morrowind since we haven't received a content update in over 6 months.

I don't see why not, a true master crafter would do whatever it took to own them.

Yes, the master writs should take full advantage of the content in the game.

Yes, it appears to be so insignificant that I don't think I've received any master writs on my main crafter since I learned the new Ebony motif, where as before I was getting them occasionally. Maybe one? It's gone down. I really think it's more RNG than anything based on my alts who don't know as many motifs/traits.

Most people who offer their services as master crafters know the DLC motifs so it has become a trade standard. And most of the pages really aren't that hard to find on guild stores.

guild stores make owning the DLC and learning the motif separate things so... yeah.

I have 99% of all motifs and just got my first clothier Master Writ yesterday, absolutely ridiculous. Also Crown Store motifs should count imo. They are penalizing people who spend money in an in-game system? Laughable.

Yes BUT in my explanation in another thread.

The pages should add 1% and at some point cut off at 100%

So what I mean is that the original purple books and blue books should bring you up to lets say 50% and additional pages should bring you up to 100% but technically you should have the opportunity to hit 300% (due to all the pages) but the logic is that crafting writs should have an 100% success rate from progression

    AND

The writ vouchers should be impacted by known pages as well so people have the opportunity to get 100% vouchers of lets say 25 or higher and maybe another tier of 50+ up to the max

If not.....this is nothing more than an necessary material sink

I believe Jessica stated that ALL completed purple and gold motifs that were not crown store exclusive counted for raising your chances at a master writ. She confirmed it a few weeks ago in a thread when people were asking for clarification about what motifs counted and which didn't. You'll have to look the thread up yourself since I don't have a link to it.
