A controversial idea for Furniture mats

What do you all think if Refining and Decon raw materials gave a chance to extract Heartwood , Bast , Alchemical , Wax and the other furniture mats ? I know this is adding to RNG and not many want that in the way of gold mats dropping but some of the furniture mats are extremely rare and hard to find . Furniture takes a lot of mats to build . What do you think ? Is this something you'd be interested in seeing to help get furniture mats ?

I definitely support your idea, bruh. Not just because it's logical, but because we're tight. :)

I've been thinking aboit this abit to. It might not be in the way of gold mats as I believe you can get multiple items at once. As long as they become a common drop, I support.

Refining could only yield 3 matts. Nothing for food, alchemy. Possibly something from Enchanting.

Huh. yeah. could work. long as it is a constant chance, rather than being varied by mat extraction passives. (though this would give CP players an edge over new players in terms of the double resource node chance)

Edit: hell, if Zeni wanted to do this they could just divide the current drop chance by what nodes can drop (or the average of what they can drop)

The only issue I see with this is the alchemical resin, and decorative wax drops.

Double Edit: Oh, and Mundane Rune cause all of those have no refine-able state.

I'm for it as long as it does not decrease the chance to get gold tempers

When you extract glyphs mundane runes could drop

As an augmentation to the current system sure, not as entirely stand alone.

It's only alchemy I see a little issue with as there is no refining method (and wax is so plentiful any way it doesn't need help).

So add it to the Gold temper drop.

Every time you get a Gold Temper you get 3-5 Furnishing Mats.

    Job done.

I don't mind the mat drop rates as they are right now. I managed to decorate an entire large house without much difficulty (I completed most of it in the first two weeks after launch). I still had enough mats left over to craft and sell extra furniture.

You can easily farm 20-40 of each furniture mat per hour (depending on your luck). If you need more than that, you can just buy them with the money you make from selling the regular mats you got from the run.

I also like that the scarcity is keeping their price up. It's making farming more lucrative (since tempers have plummeted in value).

Regulus and pelts dont seem to be all that rare at this point. How common and cheap do you want them to be?

heartwood seems to sell at 400-500 per pretty regularly. i think regulus and pelts much less. not sure about bast.

All are available nearly every guild trader in numbers.

    Farming gold is easy.

So, lets just ask straight out - how common in terms of gold charge per unit do you want each of them to become?

if they get down to say provisioning levels where guild stores may sell stacks for 1-2k maybe then will that be enough?
