Gearing - Inclusion of Additional Gear Slots

So, I was wondering how you'd all think of expanding the current gear slots. separating the shoulders to be left and right shoulder , left and right hands, left and right feet. so you could say have a heavy gauntlet in your left hand with a dagger, light glove in right with a sword, heavy pauldron on the right with a medium pauldron on the left.
If this was ever implemented, it'd mean 15 total gear slots available, meaning a possible 3 sets of 5 pieces, or 2 sets of 5 pieces a 3 piece and 2 piece. So sets may need to be changed, or left as is.
What d'yall think?

Doubt many want a longer RNG grind and ^^^ is correct about more storage in the only non-F2P game I've played with this little storage.

There's a lot of interesting things that could be done with additional gear slots. Yet I believe we would need some new form of "recrafting" and jewelry crafting to be included in game at the same time.

The gear grind now is currently ridiculous. Adding in even more set options would make that grind even worse. There would need to be a way to recraft items into desirable traits, the crafting of jewelry for sets, etc. Otherwise you'd spend all your time grinding gear and none of it playing the content you actually enjoy.

As someone else said, gear, skills and so many other things would need to be rebalanced in order to make this work as well. Not to mention bank/inventory space would easily have to be doubled or more. I wouldn't hold your breath.

since you ask, no please - I generally hate heavy gear-based character development in every game that has it. I like skill points, passives...I can even stand CP's even though I'm not sure I quite like how they were implemented, but I hate gear grinds, and that's all that set bonuses really seem to encourage - building character skill point and champion builds to synergize with particular gear sets is more planning and effort than I really want to spend on any game, and so increasing the array of choices with gear synergizing with character build is...obviously...something I would be against, given my general attitude

I would rather the development time be used to address the current issues with gearing such as traits and sets.

I want it so that you can make choose if a monster shoulder is on both shoulders instead of one. So you can have the choice of how it looks but there are no more slots.

It would be too hard to balance. Also I it would make the grind for gear take even longer.

Way too many gear slots to farm, and it would be super overpowered. I do like the idea of adding a second gear slot to two-handed weapons though. Like a quiver for bow and arrow. This is the best way to make two-handed weapons count as two item slots towards set bonuses, while also allowing splitting traits/enchants as you can with dual-wield or sword n board.

Hmm. Seems the general consensus is a resounding no, with several good points referencing the current RNG grind, as well as this causing the game to be even more complex.

The RNG grind would certainly make the extra gear a pain in the arse to get, and cause full builds to take even longer to obtain.

The increased complexity would cause the game to be even more unforgiving to people who want to enjoy a game on the side, forcing them to invest even more time to be able to keep up with others.

In essence what I get from this is that the additional gear slots will cause time investment into the game to increase for most players, especially new players who would have to get everything, and likely turn players away from the game as a result.

having staffs, bows and two hand count as two slots in an set makes sense as you can wear two 5 set and monster set.

Tail armor for Khajiit and Argoinans would be another solution at least for us :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.

and it is also obvious the extra gear slots would be pointless. Effectiveness would have to be reduced to prevent the power creep from advancing by leaps and bounds. Characters do not need more damage, max stats and crit.

No, it's too much, you would be able to do absolutely crazy setups, just imagine 5 piece bsp, 5 piece julianos, 5 piece tbs, no it would be madness.
Although i would be allright with adding cloaks, and making 2 h weapons count as 2 pieces, and maybe adding another ring or necklace piece.

It would be cool if crafters were able to change traits, or even add one. Right now the loot table is absolutely insane, sure you get a guaranteed drop at every boss, but really how many times do you get the gear that you actually want, not many.

Would only accept it as a costume feature.

In other words: you wear one set of armor for all its stats and benefits, and other armor pieces over it that only show on your character, but are practically useless.
