Audio Bug after patch 2.7.9

Hi there everyone,

As of now, the only sound I can only hear is the swing of my weapon. Even the music cannot be heard. All audio settings are turned up to the max FYI.
Any ideas how to fix this? This is the first time this has happened to me. Happens after patch 2.7.9.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

P/S: No. Uninstalling does not count as a fix you trolls.

    Dunno. Restart the client? Restart your computer? Verify game cache integrity? if nothing works maybe wait a day. if that don't work try uninstalling and reinstalling eso.

    Repairing didn't work for me. Also, I can't verify game cache integrity as I don't play ESO via Steam. Thank you for the suggestions tho.

    Volume mixer tab showed everything was not muted. Thing is, I can only hear weapon swings in-game and that's it. Everything else is dead silent as an abandoned graveyard.

    Is it just the game that has this issue? Like if you rightclick the speaker icon and check "playback devices", your system is configured properly and hasn't somehow switched to a setup your speakers actually aren't (like stereo if you have 5.1 or something).

    im not having issues anymore I just have a wonky setup

    did you check if you turned down master volume in game with other effects.

    Tried repairing the 2nd time, still not fixed. I'm almost convinced that I need to reinstall the game and my my oh my that will take a loooooong time.

    If anyone has prior audio issues, please share your experience on fixing your own issue here so I can try it out.

    Yes. Just the game. Playback devices settings are all the same from pre-2.7.9.
    It's just too weird that I can only hear weapon swings and not any other sounds and music. :s

    I'm having issues with my sound, too. It was fine until I used a gem to revive myself after dying and now I have no sound effects, only music. When interacting with NPCs, I cannot hear them talking. I've checked all volumes and devices and they haven't changed. I've tried logging out, shutting the game down and restarting my PC with no luck.
