ESO+ 3day trial

Only a suggestion, but would be cool if zos gave folks like a 3day eso+ trial for all the server outtages. I already have eso+ so I'm indifferent to it. But giving people 3 days to stuff a bunch of crap in a crafting bag and dye their costumes would be enough of a positive distraction to alleviate alot of the stress the playerbase has been seeing lately.

It might also increase zenimax eso+ revenue because once you get eso+ you kinda get spoiled by these feature. Initially I only got it for a month because of costume dying, but that crafting bag is just so ploxy.

Only issue I see is what happens to crafting bags after the trial ends. Standard procedure is your stuff stays in there but you can't add to it. Would that be the same for the free trial?

In which case it might mean less incentive for people to buy ESO+ for a period, because they already loaded up the crafting bag with materials, so inventory management issues are temporarily less of a bother.

    Would be nice.

But won't happen. ToS pretty clearly states that you accept that service interruptions will happen.

Actually... That's not such a bad idea. Why doesn't ZOS do 3-day ESO+ trials? Not necessarily talking about as "sorry for outages" things, but in general?

What if there was an ESO+ 3-day trial token you could buy for free in the crown store. Put up a warning that it's a one-time only purchase per account (this is to keep it from being abused). Getting the token gives you 3 days to try out the benefits of ESO+ (mostly the crafting bags, costume dying, and access to DLCs). People get to try out stuff like the crafting bag without committing to paying money, and ZOS gets new ESO+ subscribers from the ones who end up liking it enough to pay for it.

And with a system like that in place, when there were problems affecting your account, if it was a significant problem they could give you a 3-day trial token as a "thanks for your patience" thing.

I'm not seeing a down side. Can anyone come up with a reason this wouldn't be a good system for ZOS to implement?

Then they bother you again so you get eso+.you know what thwy say about not knowing you got a good thing till its gone. I dunno, zos nevver does *** for their commjnity if they can't make coin off it.

That's just lawsuit precention for people with entitlement issues. I'm just thinking more on a PR aspect to build trust with the community. Can we sue zos? Sure, but we wont win. Can we get frustrated and find equal enjiyment elsewhere? Certainly can.

In this scenario do they get to keep their stuff in the craft bag after the trial (Only able to remove items)? Or does all their stuff get dumped back into their inventory?

The way it works with eso+ is once it runs out the items in the craft bag stay tfre but anything you aquure after that gets put in your invontory.

I'm with @UrQuan this seems to be a great idea regardless.

To be Honest, I can complete Orsinium DLC in 1 day (if you take out the trail and dungeons). Public Dungeons are easy, I completed the main story in under 5 hours, did every single quest in 6 hours, did all relics, world bosses, and public dungeons for the rest of the 12 hours. So in that 3 day Token I could have completed all of Orsinium.

Other companies have exactly same tos yet provide compensation gifts for these kind of situations.

And your point? The area offers more than just 3 days worth, every area does. It's a trial... not trail, and orsinium doesn't even have a trial...

I think it's great I have ESO+ for the record but reason I think this is great is because once people get a taste of craft bags they will keep ESO+.

Yes they will have it for 3 days then get to keep there mats in it but after that they can't add to it and after the inventory gets full and they see how convenient the craft bag is they are almost sure to sub again to ESO+.

More revenue for ZoS can't be a bad thing, even if they choose only to use it for 3 days and never sub again it will eventually run out and not be able to be used.

Nope. If the sub was mandatory sure, but as it isn't, nope. You get nothing.
