Hello everyone! I've been playing ESO for a little over a month. I'm level 38. I came from the MMORPG "Asheron's Call" after it ended. I played that game for over a decade. Anyways, I wanted to give some feedback on the game and welcome any responses. I really enjoy the game and the graphics are really beautiful. I feel that most of the problems have more to do with two things. The biggest problem has to do with the amount of time that the servers are down. It is pretty terrible to be honest and I'm sure there are reasons for it. I heard that they were having some DDOS attacks? But it really needs to be resolved if they want to retain older players, impress newer players, and have more people join. I am a college student and I currently don't work (although I'd like a part time job). It is frustrating to me how often the server is down and I can only imagine how frustrating it is for people who work a lot and can't play the few times that they are free. It'd also be extra frustrating if you are an older player or a ESO+ member and have to deal with it. I feel like a lot of it might come from the fact that they recently went kinda FTP (you don't have to have a subscription). Just seems like it'd be a little unfair for older players or ESO+ members to have to deal with worse service because of it. The only other problem I have (and maybe I'm alone) is that it seems to me like there isn't much cooperation between players. Don't hate on me for saying this and I think this is probably just because I am a newer player as well. But my chat bar is kind of confusing and chat seems to come and go. When I talk I'm not sure if it only shows up to players nearby or if there is some type of general chat? I dunno, but it seems a little confusing to me (maybe someone can help me?). Also, when I quest it doesn't seem like anyone fellows with me or talks to me or anything. Just seems like everyone is kind of on their own adventure, which is cool, but sometimes I guess I'd like to have more interaction with other players. Maybe I need a better guild or a patron or something? Anyways I just wanted to give my two cents and see what people thought or if they could maybe give me some advice.

It's not like AC or EQ or any of the old school MMOs. You'll be questing alone, like in Skyrim. however you can find people around, and most of the grouping comes from the undaunted pledges, world bosses and PVP. I kinda felt the same at first, but I actually grew to enjoy the "everyone on their own adventure thing".

    There's multiple chat-channels.
Zone: For everyone in that zone(Bangkorai, Grahtwood etc.)
    Say: People near you
    Yell: people further away
    Party/Group: For your party/group
    guild: Guilds
    Whisper: Whispers

Yes. People usually quest alone. None of the quests really require co-operation anyway. And some quests even bugs out if you are in a group with someone doing the same quests.
Try to find a newbie-friendly guild, they usually exist and are eager to help pretty often.

As other says questing is mostly done solo, not much point to group up for them. Many like me do them then not doing group activity.

Best tips join an friendly guild, second best tips is to join another friendly guild, number 3 and 4 is similar, you also want an trading guild.
This is primary an any MMO and in ESO you can join multiple. People in guilds tend to be friendly,
And no this can not be stressed enough.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Maybe try joining a more active guild and attempt a few dungeons using group finder - and try fill your required role; tank, healer, DPS (most common by far but actually the hardest to do, so many bad DPS out there) the other 2 roles are easier and get you groups quicker.
