Was the vestige temporarily a dragon born

In the final fight of the main quest line against

molag bal

did the vestige temporarily become a dragon born with the amulet of kings and powered by akatosh

I dont think so. I think they were just granted a fragment of Akatosh's power, making them a temporary demigod. I'd say its more comparable to what happened with Martin Septim, except for the fact Martin was a dragonborn.

It was similar but not the same, in my opinion.

it was a direct blessing from Akatosh since they had to sacrifice themselves for the power.
truth be told tho it's partially necromancy since it required a living soul to power the blessing.
kind of hypocritical of Akatosh don't ya think?

Dragonborn alone would not have done squat against Molag Bal in his titan form. For that, a bit more was needed...
Dragonborn is usually nothing but "human with dragon shouts", with a bit of dragon-soul-stealing and red-diamond-wielding thrown in for good measure. So, -nothing- like the aedric overcharge we needed to take daedric prince heads on...

Less than that most of the time as well. I'm not aware of any other dragonborn (other than Miraak, the last and Tiber Septim) that learnt to use the Thu'um. Other than the phrophetic dreams, political prowess, lust for power and their ability to light the dragon fires most Dragonborns that are known dont display anything particularly exceptional about themselves. Mainly because dragons near extinction in their time, much like in the second era.

Well, Akatosh isn't directly against necromancy, so he gets an easy way out there. Arkay is against it though.

Definitely, hence why I mentioned the last (referring to the last dragonborn) as one of the exception. The exceptions are The Last Dragonborn, Miraak, Martin Septim and Tiber Septim. Though these are under certain circumstances that most Dragonborn did not experience.

Kind of, though not unheard of (for the players). Technically Akatosh required a sacrifice for the barriers between Nirn and Oblivion to close permanently in the 3rd Era.
