How does Light's Champion work exactly?

1. It says that "any target you heal gets major force and protection". Does this mean any spell that heals applies the buff or just Light Champion itself?
2. Does it reset the buff duration when it heals you a second time?
3. Can the buff apply to you or does it just work on allies?

    4. Can the heal crit?

Good questions. I know it heals other targets that require healing. I'm not sure if it resets the buff duration. As for crits, I have never paid attention.

    1. Only allies healed by Light's Champion
    2. Only during the duration of Light's Champion
    3. Your self and the allies
    4. Yes it can crit

Imo it is one of, if not, the most underrated Ultimate in game. It's cheap cost, insanely high heals (I still can have a 7k non crit heal from a single tick in PvP), massive damage reduction and with so many builds utilizing critical hits, a massive damage increase.

The cheap cost can be further reduced (though more than one seems unnecessary but can be done) by things like sorcerer passive, or nightblade's potion drinking, or Templars passive gain or dks passives (see ultimate generation isn't unique at all)

If a player would use the same build that perma casts shield wall incorporated or this ultimate, we would see a lot more rage threads

The problem with it is that it grows more and more useless with larger group sizes. it's amazing in single/duo, it's passable in 3 and 4 man groups. In groups larger than 4 it's pretty horrible because of it's random nature and limited amount of targets healed.

In duels and small pvp, it's a life saver. For my magsorc, it can instantly save her from the brink of death and give her some great buffs. Also for a sorc, it's a cheap Ultimate too.

Sounds like I gotta level Resto for my mDK. I had switched to Destro backbar for the ult, but I'm starting to feel like I really need the defense, and it sounds like Light's Champion would help out a lot with offense and defense.

Thanks for the answers guys. I've also tested that Light's Champion reapplies the buff every time it ticks, so you can have 10 seconds of major force and protection when soloing/dueling.

The buff let's 5 seconds after the last heal. Do up to 10 seconds of the buff of it heals you first and last
