Infallible aether useless for healer now?

People are saying that 5 piece aether is no longer useful on a healer due to changes to destro, is it true?

Well destro is not guaranteed to debuff and you need to slot elemental blocked for it to proc. Also you lose the weapon trait just to make the weapon charged to apply the debuff.

Its definitely not useless, but there are alternatives if you dont have it now

In general it's not worth using. Thanks to the current strengh of mag sorcs you usually have very high uptime of minor vulnerability in your raid. Additionally @Bigevilpeter is wrong, you don't need to slot wall of elements to proc it. Just having a charged destro with a shock enchant on your backbar allows you to get ~100% uptime for situations where the dds don't apply that debuff (e.g. when doing dsa with 2 stam dds)

There is only one situation where Infallible Aether is useful - Storm Attronachs, which are immune to concussive.
Other than it's meh for a healer.

You lose one weapon trait to get the 5pc bonus of Infal and unlocking possibility of having another set (Twilight Remedy, Worm Cult etc.)
Thanks to charged destro and shock enchant you can have Infal, SpC and Twilight Remedy at once.
