The event isn't for the purpose of giving people bonus AP - it's for the purpose of doing some stress testing without CP to gather baseline data that will help them find ways to improve performance. The double AP is merely to encourage people to go to Cyrodiil in order to ensure the campaigns are as full as possible for as much time as possible, in order to help with gathering this data.

So it's not like double XP events or double TV stone events where it was done with the intention of rewarding players - it's them bribing players into helping them get data, which means they don't really "owe" us an extension if things go wrong (which they have done with other events when there were issues).

Extending the event by a few hours wouldn't really help them from a point of view of gathering data, because it would be replacing prime time Saturday data with weekday data, and they've already gathered data for all weekdays. From the point of view of ZOS' needs, it wouldn't be helpful for their testing. What they'd need to do to be helpful for their testing is do another mini-event next Saturday to try to gain the data that they missed today. Or they could decide that the Saturday data gathered on the other servers is sufficient for their purposes, so they don't need the PC/NA Saturday mid-day data.

Of course, they could decide to extend it anyway just to be nice to us. Given the nature of this event I don't expect it, but it would be a nice gesture that would be appreciated.

All i hear in this type of post is >>>>> I want, I want, I want.

Then the statement that goes something like >>>> Zos u just lost me, I quit.

Or I'm not cheating, its a game mech, so its aloud, ROFLMAO.

    Exploiting, same as above.

You have 99% of the players in this game, play it straight up, and as always a few bad apples, that will do anything to gain an advantage of stuff.

No different than every other MMO out there.

This game has some bugs, yup we all know this and patiently play through the crashes, loading screens, dealing with the cough, cough, grinders shouting hate tells at you for wanting just play through, on and on, no big thing, the game is still great fun.

All I've seen this week on PC/NA is people taking resources, battling over keeps and outposts, taking scrolls across the map, and having never-ending bridge fights.

Maybe shady stuff is happening in campaigns I haven't been to, or while I haven't been in Cyrodiil, or in parts of the map away from where I've been going, but all I've witnessed is proper alliance vs alliance PVP.

PC NA. Haderus and Trueflame actually had really great battles throughout the week. On the very first day, Haderus had a bunch of AP farmers (just going around flipping things), but that seems to have subsided, and people have gotten back to real PVP. Trueflame has had massive zerg battles which is what ZOS wanted.

And the lag hasn't been that bad. Why? Maybe because people are actually dying.

This last week has the potential to break the economy, Xbox Eu I jumped into hades just so I could buy some gear unchallenged and every 30 seconds bleakest was changing hands, that's a minimum of 25k ap every 30 seconds - a minute. Add that up over time and it's millions of ap. this allows these players to have a lot to spend on monster helms and good jewerly as well as sets that then can be sold. Not to mention all the rewards for worthy.

To an extent these people are gaining an advantage by having access to sets and items easier and quicker not to mention it alters the results of this test as pvp is a one sided affair and everything is farming not fighting. With all the ap and the potential to convert it into large sums of gold hurts smaller guilds as they are less likely to put a sufficient bid on guild traders.

Gathering data to help track down (and eventually fix) the biggest causes of poor performance in Cyrodiil never should have happened huh? So you want Cyrodiil to always have terrible performance? Do you hate PVPers and want them to always be miserable?

Flipping an outpost every 2 minutes, taking it in turns to do so is hardly pvp. Gathering data is good - though perhaps it should have been implemented in a different way

How? What incentive do you suggest to ensure maximum population in all campaigns for as much time as possible over a full week?

Gold item end of campaign rewards
    Double coin rewards
A large AP reward for the campaign end

something that actually encouraged pvp participation rather than simple immediate greed gratification

Those are actually some pretty good suggestions. I'm not sure if they'd be enough to attract more people than the usual PVPers (whereas this event has attracted a lot of people like me who are primarily PVEers), but maybe combine them with a smaller AP increase rather than doubling it, and it would probably have worked quite well.

Outpost ticks between 12k-14k not sure where u got that number from and it's not as quick as 30 seconds with ppl constantly killing each other inside.

I did it for like an hour earlier and yea it was a lot of AP but not the ratio at you're saying.

I sat there in hades on Xbox eu and timed it while deciding g what I wanted to buy from cropsford venders every 30seconds-1minute it flipped. Add the bonus from owning keeps, killing a delve boss and killing any other player it adds up. Either way my point still stands and it's a crap load of AP. start of a 7 day campaign and you are lucky to see anyone with less than 6nillion Ap on the boards.

Since where I live the ping is really high so my game "freezes" and disconencts during large fights or just before the tick.

So I didn't get any AP OP. I think 300k max all week (and that's pushing it).

A friend of mine got more than double my total AP in one day (farming AP) than I got playing PvP every night for 6 months last year.

I am inclined to agree I hope it's over (so the people who actually PvP can enjoy it again).
