Alliance War Skill Points

First off, let me say, I have zero interest in PVP. I see online that you can get 50 skill points from 'Alliance War', but can't find anywhere on how you get those 50 points. Anyone have a link or explanation on how you get those 50?

Not at all, as I recall this was the first time ever. Either way to get to rank 50 could take you well up to a year. Not worth it. You could fly through ranks 1-10 though quickly.

Not at all, as I recall this was the first time ever.

Right, unlike double XPs which they do every once in awhile for special events, this was done specifically to do some high load PvP server testing. It was an out-and-out bribe to get more people in Cyrodil playing PvP for a week so they could get information on how to reduce lag in the PvP zones.

There are also useful skills in the PvP skill lines, so it is worth at least getting 6-8 ranks even if, like me, you aren't that fond of PvP. You will get APs much faster if you can join a team that has some idea of what it is doing, so either broadcast (I didn't have a lot of luck with this in the past, but sometimes someone takes pity and invites a stranger) or, better yet, try to contact someone in a guild you are in who does PvP regularly. They will have friends you can join.

I do like pvp, but I am playing pretty casual because I have a baby now.

Is there no quick pvp in this game, like battlegrounds? I entered cyrodiil and spent an hour doing nothing. Is there any other pvp content?

There's Imperial City, which tends to be much more small scale than open world Cyrodil. Mind you, there are still zergs around, and it's usually dominated by one faction.

Battlegrounds are coming in June (or July?) with the Morrowind expansion.

You can also grab skyshards in Cyrodil for some extra skill points. You can google a map of where they all are. There may also be an add-on that displays where they all are on the map as well.

I'm not very good at PvP but during double AP week I got around 1.4-1.6 million AP just by running around healing, killing a few noobs and repairing walls.

One thing you might want to do is buff up before getting AP, it will increase your AP earnings.

Kill a dungeon boss - gives you 20% more AP for an hour
Combat Medic ( AW passive ) gives you 10% to 20% healing done near keeps
DK's igeouse shild - 25% healing done
Templer - Cleansing ritual _ Sacred Ground passive - 25% healing done
NB - Soul Siphoner - gives u to 18% healing done

Repairing walls ( without buffs ) you will get something like 40-60ap per rock, with buffs you get a little over 100ap per rock.

Thats awesome. I may have enjoyed cyrodiil some time ago when I played with many friends. But now that I play almost like a solo game, battlegrounds will be what this game lacks for me.
