i bought a 10k red horse for a new player, once, watched him ride off on it.
good times.
i'd do it again, too.

notice that the crown shop mounts have different prices too. The crown crate ones are idiotic expensive.

Someone asked this in a guild I'm in today, too, but they noted that the dialog still states that they are different, which is quite a problem if someone drops 42k gold on it unwittingly.

Do ppl buy the 42k mounts anymore and my understanding is they don't have increased training......just curious why the price variance?
An fair issue I agree, and trivial to fix, pretty hard for an new player who blew 42k on rather than bag spaceThisstarkerealm wrote: »Tradition, and because, maybe they look cooler to you. Because ZOS didn't bother updating the prices after they made all mounts cosmetic instead of having individual strengths and weaknesses

One of the horses is 10k so a new base game account can easily afford a horse by the time their first character hits level 10 without spending more real money. That horse used to be 17k, so good on Zos for lowering it. Plus if they want a different mount, there are still 3 variants available in game outside the crown store. Everyone can afford the base essentials, cosmetics cost a premium. I don't see the issue.

The 10k horse has always cost 10k.
