Do not use the extract all function for crown gems, WARNING Xbox for sure

Just submitted a ticket, I went through the list of crapola I didn't want from the crown crates, and I wasn't watching my total in the bottom until the very end I noticed it. I was only getting 1 crown gem per stack. Some of those stacks were 200 stacks. I am on Xbox NA.

Don't know if this is happening on other platforms, but just a warning. I'm hoping support can replace what I lost, I had a lot of crap I burned through spamming the Y button (extract all on Xbox).

Hope no one else has this happen, my poor opinion of crown crates just nose dove from extremely poor to abhorrent.

I should add I guess, doing a stack one by one worked fine for me (after I realized what was happening).

Posted it here so people would see it. Most people go to the bug forum after they experience one, and by then it's too late. Just a warning post, so others don't have to go through the grief of a support ticket run. Still waiting to hear from them, so I don't even know if it's fixable at this point.

I've gotten two apologetic auto replies so far, obvious there are a flood of tickets right now, hopefully they can actually help, I know I'm out at least 450 gems, probably many more, hard to say though. Also, since I'm not a fan of the crates, I don't really fancy buying any more, so these gems are it for me.

So, as I kind of expected, they've gotten back to me, and are telling me I got everything.
Yeah, right.
They even showed me a graph detailing all of the extractions, only problem is, it isn't even 1/2 the transactions, in fact, the graph shows I earned 61 gems, in reality, even with all the stacks I only got 1 gem for, I actually got 103 gems from the total extractions.

So not counting the glitches stacks, the list they showed me is short by at least 42 extraction gems. Now I don't know if the game log is glitched as well, or if support is being shady and screwing me. I'd like to give benefit of the doubt and assume the former.

Hopefully they can sort the whole thing out, I'd recommend to others to only extract stacks 1 at a time though, don't use extract all.

Sadly for me, I think I'm close to being permanently done with this game. Every time I turn around there is a new glitch or bug, and then support doesn't do anything about it. After all the money I've put in over the years, it feels like a loss of investment to walk away, but Jesus, come on ZOS.

Rip me off and run a smooth game, ok I can over look some stuff. But the greed of this company, coupled with all the glaring technical problems that never seem to get resolved.

I'm done for today for sure anyway. I need a drink.

If you really think that you are missing 450 gems from extraction, I am pretty sure you don't understand how the conversion rates work.

25 poisons (from ONE white card) extract to 1 gem
5 potions (from ONE card) extract to 1 gem
1 Drink (from ONE card) extracts to 1 gem

A stack of 200 poisons therefore gives you 8 gems - not 200.

I had multiple stacks of 200. I don't think I get 1 for 1, but I got one gem for whole stacks. Trust me, the extract all glitched.

Like I said though I think this is the last straw. ZOS is just too greedy. How much do people think it costs to run an mmo?

Ps4 again this year ranked eso+ as one of its top selling addons. There are millions of subs on ps4, I will assume Xbox is somewhat less, but that still accounts for a large sub base. PC is probably more.

Eso+ sub is $18 per month (that will differ depending on where you are of course) where I am, so I'll use that for this example. Only 1 million subs would be $18,000,000 per month ZOS gets. And there are a hell of a lot more subs than just 1 million.

Add to that monthly revenue the base game cost, dlc, now expansion packs, the fact that ALL of the aesthetic items in the game are behind a paywall, the craft bag (one of the most useful additions to the game) is locked behind sub, now they also add high risk/reward gambling boxes to the mix. How much money does ZOS need for this game to be "supported" and continue?

Now consider all the bugs and technical issues that remain month after month without being fixed. Yes, the housing update was free, but it's another lazy cash grab. The homes have no practical use or function at all, and again a lot of it is locked behind expensive paywall. At least we have the option to pay gold for the actual home, that's a first.

Now on top of all that in my head to think about, now the function to sell off crown crate garbage glitches and I get a lot less gems than I should have, as usual with most issues, support is being unhelpful.

I also am one of the lucky winners that has a super special technical issue, my voice chat hasn't worked for almost 9 months and as yet has no fix.

It just seems for all the money ZOS is taking in, they fix very little, and most of their focus on adding to the game is finding even more ways to exploit it for profit.

This is all my opinion mind you, I know there are many who feel differently, but I'm frustrated, angry and just tired of being screwed around by the people running a game I love, based in an ip I've been a fan of and loved since 1994.

If it were just all the tech issues and glitches I could maybe get past it, but on top of that with all the avaricious structuring to the game, it's too much.

Okay now that really is waay too low...
If you get 2-3 consumable cards per box and extract everything you should have gotten a lot more.

Might be a good idea to send a PM to one of the Community Managers to escalate your ticket.

Yeah, my ticket is already in the mix, I fear my anger may have prompted me to say some unkind things in my last reply. Honestly, I think this is my swan song with eso. I think I'm done. It is just too much hassle to squeeze value from this game.
