You buy items from AH and you wont get it instantly.
This problem has been from day 1. Not sure why haven't they fixed it.
You log out and login back, then you get items. It cant be clearly a design choice, otherwise you wouldnt be able to use relog to get items instantly.

✭If I recall correctly, mail is checked every 15 minutes and every time you change zone. Going in and out of an Outlaws Refuge counts as changing zone for mail purposes.
Did you know that mail containing gold is delivered instantly? Same with CoDs. So if you need to send items to a friend and want to force it through the system, put 1 gold into the mail and change zone.Guildmaster of the UESP Guild on the North American PC/Mac Server 2350+ CP & also found on the European PC/Mac Server 1700+ CP
