Crown Store Gifting. Can we get it?

Alright, so as we all know there is some cool stuff in the Crown Store. Now, we all know the DLC prices are at a price like that for a reason but.... not everyone can afford the stuff.

Now, if ZoS let us gift stuff on the store, maybe we could help others get cool stuff and also make the already huge game even bigger for them. I mean, you got a family member of good friend that can't get the stuff but you have the crowns at the moment to help them.... got nothing better to do with your current crowns? Why not help out a friend? I mean, we already have this amazing game, why not open the whole thing to others who can;t buy all the dlc or get a sub?

What do you guys think? Yes or no? I am open to constructive feedback and opinions of all kinds. Let me know and I hope the team from ZoS that brought us this amazing creation will see it too.

What's wrong with that? If someone buys cosmetics with real money and wants to sell them for in-game currency it's great for everyone. Instead of being forced to convert into crown gems, let people get Gold from others and just trade / transfer cash shop cosmetics and utilities. That way players with gold on their hands can get desired items more easily. From all the bad things we can say about SWTOR it actually managed to handle its cash shop well. Everything is tradable with other players.

Honestly, it could work as what has been said.... Gold can help other players get stuff more easily... Either way, ZoS gets the money. It was just an idea and thought it could maybe work. Hopefully this thread gets some ZoS development team responses. Thank you for the feedback.

Contact customer service... Tell them what is currently in the crown store that you would like to buy and tell them the @name of the person you would like to buy it for.

I know of 2 players with over 20k crowns that no longer play the game. They have voiced how they wish they could give away the crowns. Such a shame they can't at the moment.

There was kind of a soft launch late last year, I got an email about it and was able to gift an item to a friend via customer support.

sometimes you just want to buy your friend an npc or dlc and the only way is to send them money directly via paypal, it would be nice if you could just send people crowns ...

Exactly, I don't see the problem with gifting crowns. They get their money in the end. Now, I can see why items bought with crowns are bound though.

Crown Store gifting is possible but requires you to contact support.

If you contact support an ask them to give an item to x account and take the funds off yours they should do it. I have known a number of these to happen to help players give one another birthday gifts.

I think it's a great idea, a lot of times I wished I could have done something like that for friends of mine, I wish we could gift those as well as store items.

The simplest way for them to do this would be sell Crown Cards (codes) for PC/Mac as well.

Consoles get them but we don't.
