"Easiest" Class/Role to utilize at higher level?

I'm not really into the meta game stuff, and would rather just play with a friend of mine off and on. I would like to know if there is an easy build/class/job/whatever that requires the absolute LEAST amount of weapon switching and/or skill switching between trials/dungeons/delves/open-world.

A lot of the debuffs and AoEs need to re-applied every now and then, and most builds I've come across have to switch weapons to an off-hand to re-apply them before switching back to the mainhand to do more damage, which is a bit annoying, since I have to move around a lot.

I'd rather not play a melee class however, and prefer a mage type or ranged type. I've been trying out Daedric Summoner builds here and there, but most of them want you to swap weapons a lot.

Yes, I'm considering trying it out. The original Daedric SUmmoner build I was following was from reddit, and it's got so many skills/etc. that I want to just bash my head in the wall.

The ground large line aoe with blockade is kind of annoying though. However, unlike the reddit build I found... the build you linked uses the same three skills on every bar, rather than just two.

    Here's the build I found originally: http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/the-unholy-herdsman-thelons-pet-build-one-tamriel/

Magicka Sorc and Magicka Templar are both pretty simple and easy to operate, so they are good options to explore. If you're not trying to do vMoL or hardmode trials, you have a ton of options, actually. The meta is really only something that should concern you if you're trying to do the hardest content. For dungeons, questing, open-world stuff (like public dungeons, world bosses, etc.) are all scaled in accordance with the "play how you want" philosophy, for the most part.

There's still some challenge to a lot of these, but duos can pull this stuff off in a few tries with non-meta builds, no question about it. Keep in mind that a meta build doesn't teach you how to block or dodge roll any better than wearing white gear dropped by wolves, and these are the more important things upon which to focus. In that regard, you can do pretty much any class or build you think is interesting and fun. Magicka NB and Stam Sorc are very good for open-world content as well, as they have a great deal of survivability and healing potential.

Magicka Templar. Imo one of the best classes to use and the easiest.

Was trying out this build specifically: http://deltiasgaming.com/eso-templar-healer/

Which hasn't been updated for the new 600 CP, likely because they updated their templar healer for PvP, and I'm not into PvP at all. If you have any other builds you would like to share for a healer (that could be easier than the one I linked here), I'd be all ears.

    1) Healer : very easy once you group knows the fight but always take an eye around you and health of your mates, so dynamic.

    2) Tank : easy to master your char but very hard if you do not know the boss strat, but quite easy if you know it. Not really dynamic but have to be aware for deadly mechanic => huge responsability for his group.

    3) DPS : hard to master, but easy role in your group if you know your rotation. No time out, very dynamic.

    Easiest to master :

    Argonian/Imperial DK Tank
    Templar Healer Breton/Argonian/Altmer
No dps is really easy to master... it is easiest to do dps with mSorc but mDK rotation is the easiest...
