I badly want to love this game but I can't because its so bs. From the UI to the latency its just painful to play. I can over look the fact its clearly a console port right from the UI but what really takes the cookie is when I'm in pvp and I'm spending most of my time waiting to see if the game is responding to my abilities and action bar change, while spaming my weak shiled to drop from a single tick of almost any dot. I mean if having jack all health and crap base dps wasnt good enough, the game feels like 300ping and relies on me not only spaming to cast but also to wait for action bar changing...

Something needs to change if this is ever to become a reputable pc game.

Please make this game feel nice to play. Make this work or at the very least tell us eso 2 is in the making, hence the lack of development.

Ummm it's not a console port. Console development was added after the game's release.
The UI is based on Skyrim's UI. So, it is simple and minimalistic, has nothing to do with console.

I never used the forum and it doesn't make an account for you automatically, after 1.5 years or something I wanted to post during maintenance for some reason and found out I had to email customer support to even get a forum account. Is there some way to view someone's actual account age and not just forum age?

Are you trying to imply that "us older gamers" are to slow and docile to recognise when there's a problem? I think you'll find "us older gamers" have probably played far more games than any younger person. I can afford a decent PC with a good fast ISP that can handle the game, I don't have lag issues. Yes some things wind me up especially the RNG at times and I've posted as much so I take offence at your comment.

    @Bartdude

What I take from your reply is that you never read the whole @MakoFore actual post.

Whilst they may of started badly with there own generalisation of Older Gamers, the post was not in relation to this.

Like yourself I own a top Spec PC, have a great ISP, but I still see the Lag, the Bugs, the bad design, crappy RNG. I won't defend this as it's indefensible. ESO is a really good game, but it fails to be great for all the reasons @MakoFore states, yet people blindly accept the game with these bugs and bad design, then attack people who dare question it, hoping to make the game better.

in the words of Stephen Fry
"It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fecking what."

If his post was not related then why post it?

so many pointless replies to make,

    I am a older gamer,
I did play beta, believe me I didn't stay long.,
I didnt create this forum account in beta...,
I know what a working game should feel like,
I'm far from a noob and have achieved high ranks in many WORKING games,
My PC isn't bad & isn't the best but I bet I know 100x more about PC's and how to tweak for better performance,
I could easily buy a new TOP end PC but two reasons why I haven't and if you wasn't a noob you would know both of them...1: its not the best time to buy while Ryzen just came out today! 2: why spend even a 1k (£) on a new build in the current state of online gaming atm....and this goes on and on but you are so pro I dont need to list all the reasons.,
My ISP is specialized (non profit) and not cheap (Fiber) but then why not if I can afford it.

Let me just say one thing to you younger gamers. You will never be as skilled as we once were for one simple reason: Games today have *** coding, netcodes are so bad these days that us older gamers use to have better ping times on dial up. Its a joke and your living it. Sorry but I'm trying to help, not that you can understand. I'm also sorry if I come over as an unpleasant person but you need to man up and look outside the box.

If ignorance is bliss then knowledge must be hell?

Dude....please stop giving us older gamers a bad rep. Anyone familiar with your history knows you basically haunt the forums to troll, whine and put the game down.

Also it's apparent to anyone with rudimentary knowledge of client server networking that you haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about, claiming you had better ping rates on dial up is laughable, especially considering that tick rate between games today and the 8 bit games of the 90's are vastly different, also dial up games were mostly shooters, the packets between a FPS and a MMO are worlds apart. I could go on but why bother? You wouldn't understand any of it if I did.

It is obvious this game doesn't meet your "high" standards, so run along back to whatever Guerrilla marketing firm that hired you.

I know but life is ment to be a wonderful not just about making money. But be strong, dont let it get you down. Life is about having fun, even if your hobby turn into a commercial gimmick for the mass sheep people.

Lol its funny when someone calls other people sheep because of a differing opinion. Btw this IS a reputable game. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not reputable. Also just because others like it and you don't, doesn't mean they are sheep. I think a mindless sheep would continue doing something they don't enjoy. So why continue doing something you don't enjoy?

You don't even know what you're talking about. This game released on PC first. Also like it's already been said PVP is undergoing a stress test this weekend.

    I really hope you're a troll.

Took them nearly 1 1/2 years to get it on consoles I believe, even though I disagree with MMO's going cross consoles I guess they made them update the PC version alot more often

Like others have said you know you dont have to be here. You dont have any weight in any discussions on the forums because no one knows who you are or know the intent of the developers. Also you seem to lack very basic knowledge of eso. Plus you seem to be the type of person who would complain with 100 ping and just because its 4am for you doesnt mean its not 5pm for thousands and thousands of other players. Wherever you live is not the only time that exists over the world. So either leave or or gather some intelligence.

I agree that a more responsive sensation would be much appreciated. It's not all the time, but when there's that little delay on everything and you can just see your DPS dropping because you can't weave effectively or you have to click your shield 5 times because bananas are zerging (more than 1 banana is a zerg) on you and it still doesn't fire, it can feel very unsatisfying.

That being said this game is nothing less than amazing, and that's why we are all here. I've been able to deal with the latency (or whatever it is) for years now, and I don't think veiled threats of quitting is helping anything. I know this comes off a little green but I think the best we can do is report every single issue in as much detail as possible.

I totally agree, though, that something needs to change, as I know many people are put off by the unresponsiveness.
