Baring the disconnections, my friends and I have loved being in Cyrodiil more than any other time so far since release. My friends and I are in agreement that the reason we are enjoying PvP so much more is because of the fact we feel like we are making ACTUAL progression each night, due to the doubled AP values. There's an incentive to play the objective all this week and plenty of players as well.
Now I couldn't talk about Cyrodiil about bringing up the elephant in the room: lag. While we all have had disconnections in some way or another and in various degrees of severity, I've had pretty stable frames on XB1 between keeps, but during battles I've seen it go from stable to "about to be dc'd" levels of slowness. Over the last couple of nights, we've seen the same frame drops when multiple players use the Destro-Ult at the same time. I think the strain from handling multiple mobile AoEs is a chief contributor to the lag. I've also seen this lag occur with multiple hurricanes in effect as well, so it's not just the Destro-Ult. (This issue may be obvious to some, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway.)
Anyway, I just wanted to let ZoS know that the AP values as they are now feel far more rewarding and more indicative of progression. My friends and I wouldn't be opposed to keeping CP disabled and AP at the values they are right now this week. I personally feel that it's not "cheap" or "unfair" to be getting AP ranks a bit faster - we're still putting in work to earn the ranks. The players who already have rank 50 have already reaped the benefits of extra skill points and color dyes, so this week isn't taking anything away from them. The argument of "I suffered, so you should suffer" is a childish and poorly constructed rebuttal to keeping AP gains as they are now with CP disabled.
This week everyone is (mostly) on an even playing field, regardless of CP and everyone can achieve meaningful progression and fun in PvP. Please keep this week's changes as the new standard. Thanks!
