Download speed and ping

What's kind of ping and download speed should be adequate for this game? (Talking more pvp)

I feel the lag was worse in cyrodil without the CP (although I still enjoyed it, Double AP is cool)

Here is mine:

Just curious as to whether people who have lag have good/bad connections themselves

Your download speed and ping won't matter much because you're connecting to ZOS hosted servers not other players.

Ping will be better the closer you are to the servers (Germany for EU, not sure where for US).

Actual value wise I have run the game on 6-12mb and never had any more issues than people I know running 50mb, the only sucky thing is patch days.

    *Edit.

Also you should probably charge your phone soon.

Download speed is pretty entirely irrelevant so long as you're over 1MBit or so.
The game isn't sending massive amounts of data, but it does need a reasonable response time.

As long as you're not in the 300ms+ range you should be fine, but don't expect to be the most L337 animation canceller.

I always see people referring to ping like it effects them? With 100+ ping? I have no idea that's why I'm asking.

    Phone is on charge haha

As others have said if your ping is below 300 you should be fine. As a UK player I sit on around 70-100 during normal play.

The biggest effect ping has on ESO is your animation cancelling ability, but you can still do this efficiently enough if you're not in one the pacific timezone countries.

A lot of arguments for ESO about ping is the games slowdown/latency in PvP but this has nothing to do with the players internet and more to do with the dataload on the servers when big battles happen.

Anything more technical and you're probably better asking Wikipedia than me.

Normal ping in Cyrodiil is ~200 with the usual spikes of anything between 300-999+

For me the lag feels the same this CP free week.

However, I am playing from Stockholm, Sweden...
