Xbox One in game Economy

The in game Economy in ESO is ruined thanks to text chat. No one is able to make money in guild traders, and everyone is basically giving everything away for next to nothing in text chat.
No one is going to want to play the game anymore if this continues, especially with the game server crashes. This game will end up like Everquest 2 if you keep it up Zenimax, no one will want to play your game anymore, including me.

How so?

Sharpened weapons retain value, mats always have value. So not sure what you're talking about.

If anything the ppl in text chat charge more than the guild traders.

The guild traders are 13k to 14k gold for Tempering Alloys. People in text chat 7k to 8k. I tried selling 12 tempering alloys for 10k each, and someone offered me 80k. I told them and the other person who offered 80k a big fat NO.
Sales are also very slow for guild trading. It literally takes almost a month to sell anything. It's getting rather ridiculous in my opinion.

Yeah even on PC they take forever, my stack of 80 Alloys has been sitting for over a week on PC at like 7.5k each

People don't want to pay your prices for mats when they can get them cheaper. So you can either sell them cheaper, use the mats yourself, or hang on to them to see if prices on them go up on average. Hopefully, the prices will continue to stay low and never go about 9-10k again. Nothe that I buy many gold mats, buy when I do I don't want to pay high prices for them.

Go the cheapest places, if you are spending 40k gold you do some traveling to cut prices 10%.

That'd be great to use if I were a PC player, but this thread was created regarding Xbox One.

You are right, it has an section for Xbox but it don't work because no plugins I assume.
Still it should give an overview of prices, i doubt they are extremely different.

Seriously thank Zos for the text chat becuase guys like this would still be ruining the game with these overpriced items Temps were over 15k a piece not too long ago . Hopefully they do away with guild traders all together and stop these select guilds from controlling the games economy.

False statement. If this were true, the guilds paying 1 million plus per week for prime location traders wouldn't keep doing so. Personally, I've had over 145k in sales in the past 5-6 days.

I'd recommend before you post something for sale on your trading guild trader, comparison shop to see what it's going for on competing traders, in the top 3 markets.

Guilds are doing fine, although sales are down for me the past several weeks. Most are pretty broke with buying houses etc.

You may have to adjust what you sell. Extort people for the new blueprints/new materials.

This game needs 2 things to advance to the next level.

1. Some sort of linking between the traders, so you don't have to go to 20 locations to browse. Perhaps give every trader access to everything for sale at all traders, then the trade guild the item is sold from gets the commission? I don't know, dunno how to fix it, but it is broken as *** for the buyer as it is now. It's a pain in the ass to buy things.

2. The crown store paywall *** has to go. Just go subscription. The majority of people that are buying stuff on crown store anyway are either already doing $20 a month for eso+, or they are spending more than that on crown purchases, more often than not, both. Anyone not buying anything in crown store or paying for eso+, well, if they like the game enough they'll pay the subscription, if they don't, probably weren't that interested in eso anyway, and not a big loss. Community ends up stronger with all people that are definitely wanting to be here, happier, because all items are ingame lootable instead of locked behind a paywall. ZOS would be happier in the long run too, profit stream would be steadier and consistent.

I really don't see this game increasing in community size by any great proportion without these two things happening.

Thank you for the advice but I think I have a good handle on how to list 180 items a week on all my accounts. I'll re-word: txt chat has significantly decreased my sales from 6 months ago.

How cares about guild trader I'm in 2 and I post stuff but ur forced to post items at a set price so you don't undercut ppl at least with zone chat I can move stuff faster and make gold when needed. By the way I hate the guild trader system think it's the worst trading system ever just my opinion.

Good now Guild Traders can't control the market and hike up prices. You know how much Temps cost on PC? Not 15k.

Lol I remember when temps were up to 25k on xb1 na. It is kinda stupid that people who use guild traders have to put up their items according to what the GM says, but it goes for much cheaper in chat. But its good at the same time because the guild trader giants don't control the market. Hopefully the prices will stabilize soon and fix itself

How fast you sell depends on your trader location. I literally sell within minutes of posting in Rawl'kha and Mournhold.

If you are having problems making sales consider getting into a trading guild with a better location. If your already in a top spot guild, consider lowering your prices a bit, everything changes week to week.

Also consider what happened in that week. For instance ZoS just introduced the largest single player gold sink yet, no one has the gold to spend. And if they do, they are buying homestead items, like blueprints and the new mats, paintings, crap like that. I've made a killing this week selling those items.

And finally yes, text chat has definitely dropped sales on traders but not to the extent of crashing the in game economy. Drop your prices and adjust to the market trend, you'll still make decent gold.

Oh and also, going rate for Temp Alloys is closer to 12 k, I've sold at least 8 over the past day or so at 12.5k soooo yeah your price is off.

Anyone saying the trader system is broken for the buyer is so wrong. Right now it's awesome.for the buyer, out the effort in to run about and get a deal.

Combined system / ESObay / AH would be like one huge text chat with way more undermining.

It reads like you are struggling with your pricing. Sure people undercut in text chat or do group sells. But traders pricing is your bread and butter just keep a better eye on the market. 12k for that volume is way too high right now, individual price perhaps.

I keep traders stocked and prices relevant, and only use text to punt things.

Personally I think the game was better off with no text chat and people should use voice comms..then the keyboard warriors would be less insulting and brave.

Sell them for cheaper then? I'm happy the prices are starting to drop. 25k plus for tempers was ridiculous

You can make gold. If you dropped your charges slightly to be competitive they would sell in a flash. You re over priced for current market is all.

Adapt and overcome
