Need help buying a new GPU

Hello guys! Im thinking about buying new gpu
My current specs
Desktop
Ram : 8g
CPU : intel core i5-4430 @ 3.0Ghz
Gpu : geforce gtx 650
OS: W10
I want to buy a new gpu, since mine is getting old... but my budget is 100-150euro. Wich gpu should i buy? My options right now are the sapphire radeon rx 460 nitro 4gb or GeForce GTX 750 Ti NVIDIA 2g. Wich one should I get? Or do you suggest something else?
Another question : My monitor in kinda old, only has a vga plug, both those gpus dont come with vga connections anymore, is it possible to convert hdmi to vga? I know i'll lose some performance, but i think the overall upgrade is worth it.

What's wrong with your GTX 650? I have a cheapo GTX 750Ti on a slightly worse CPU than you listed and ESO does just fine.

Anyway, go with the GTX 750Ti. I stand corrected. The Radeon RX 460 is a superior card.

EVEN BETTER: On a 150 Euro budget you can get an RX 470 which is almost twice as good as the 460. Seriously.

I went from GT640 to a 750Ti and it was great. The only difference being I was able tick the prettier graphics, shiny water and whatnot for better eyecandy.

I just want to have more than 10 fps in cyro and trials, does 750it helps with that?

@Lotheimas I can't truthfully answer that. I've never done trials and I've only started the intro quest in Cyrodiil. What frames per second are you getting elsewhere?

Benchmark-wise, An RX 470 is roughly 4 times better than a GTX 650.

It you can afford it, GTX 1050TI if you want the NVidia route, or for the AMD route, probably the RX 470 as suggested. I wouldn't go any lower than these 2, otherwise the upgrade won't be worth it in my opinion. (Both price for around 150 USD without rebates, with AMD a little more expensive.)

Many may argue that the RX 470>GTX 1050TI in performance, and I think they are right, but the AMD card can run for 10-30$ more expensive at some vendors.

Also DVI->VGA connectors are easy to get, so connecting to your monitor should not be a problem.

Both of these cards are great, and if running at 1080p, the only 2 causes for lower frame rates would be a lack of ram or too weak a CPU. In short, if at 1080p, your GPU will NOT be a fps factor.

I went from the GTX 645 to the GTX 960 4GB card.
I've not had a lag issue and can run all games on ultra with standard settings.

Plus the GTX 960 is only like $150 now so I'd go for it.

Don't want to de rail the thread - but fps drops have been happening a lot this week. Nothing to do with the video card. I can be chugging along in Upper Craglorn at 80fps and then bam! I'm at 20 fps and then next thing you know, I'm teleporting around the battlefield at 1 frame every 6 seconds.

Maybe what's happening to you isn't GPU related at all. Although a better video certainly can't hurt.
