Why does my unstable familiar aoe dmg different when I switch from bar 1 to bar 2?

Bar 1: force pulse, unstable familiar, liquid lightning, hardened ward, inner light
Bar 2: mages fury, unstable familiar, power surge, hardened ward, inner light

My destro starves are different but even if I switch the starves position, the aoe dmg of unstable familiar is still lesser on bar 2 all the time

Different max magicka?
Inferno (8% single target damage)vs. lightning (8% AoE damage increase)?
Destro ability slotted on both bars for passives?

Damage scales from which ever bar you are on at the time, in a lot of builds the 'bar1' will have higher max stats and damage

If you're using a lightning staff on one bar and an inferno staff on the other bar, you'll see a difference in the aoe damage because of the destruction staff passive (I think it's called Ancient Knowledge).

Whatever he name is, it gives lightning staves an 8% boost to all aoe damage and inferno staves get an 8% boost to single target damage.

If one of those staves also happens to be nirnhoned, that might be a part of it.
