Need Clarification ESO Morrowind PS4

Hi all,

I have pre-ordered the PS4 standard Disk (Physical edition) of ESO Morrowind and at the moment I have installed launch Imperial edition (Physical) with a number of extras such mounts, all currently available DLCS and a few thousand crowns in the store waiting for the next in game DLC.

My question is that with the edition that I have pre-ordered, will it perform a second game install with Morrowind as part of it and without my current characters, DLCS, mounts etc or will I be able to add Morrowind to my existing installation and have all my mounts, DLCs and have the new warden class available alongside my current characters or not ?

Thanks however I already read that article. Problem is that only the Collectors Edition is mentioned and no mention of the Standard Disk edition. That is why I have posted as we need clarification on this. I have no intention of playing Morrowind separately from my current installation with so many extras and 5 x 600 Champion point characters etc already on it.

The Standard Ed. should also just be a code and work in the same way.


Clarification from @ZOS_GinaBruno or @ZOS_JessicaFolsom would be nice as nowhere that I can find does it specify if you can apply the ESO:M Standard Ed. to a preexisting account.

You're characters are on zos end. You can throw your ps4 out the window and intonthe freeway, you'll be good. I'm pretty sure it's just a large ass expansion amd comes on disk to save you from a massive ass download.

Think of it as just an expansion pack to eso. Kinda like how warcraft does it.

Morrowind is going to be digital 100%. It's listed as an add-on.

The bad game exceeds the maximum capacity of any blueray disc.

You're getting the original game disc + a digital code and physical items to collect

Thanks guys, if one of the ZOS mods could just clarify 100% that would be really helpful.

@NewBlacksmurf It sounds like you are referring to the Collectors edition there. The Standard Disk edition I hope will be the game disk, a code for Morrowind and another code for the pre-order bonus of the discovery pack. (The codes would simply work with my current account and installation)

If I could use the store I would have just gotten the digital upgrade but that is not an option right now so that is why I preordered the Standard disk edition.

No I'm referring to all Morrowind copies.
Go to the digital store on both Xbox or PS4.

Morrowind is an add-on it's not a disc.
Your disc may have the DRM for Morrowind but the files will not be on the disc because Morrowind is not a seperate game.

No other game does it that way for add-Ins tho. It's going to be a code

If you cannot buy the digital upgrade on your store....I'd hesitate to buy Morrowind until clarification exists


To play Morrowind in ESO, you must own the base game so the disc is the base game

@NewBlacksmurf thank you and that is what I thought. Now we just need to clarify even if the DRM is on the game disk, Morrowind will be available on my current account and installation. We know this is the case for the Collectors edition but if we can get a confirmation that the Standard disk edition is the same it would put my mind at rest.

ZOS usuallywont know even tho they should, PSN would be best to contact however retailers seem to already know it's a code. The drm for Morrowind isn't on the disc
So in the Morrowind only case....you're just getting a piece of paper with artwork that has the code.

Just buy it on PSN.

Store Customers: Code will be packed with your game.

The $59 physical edition is
1. ESO disc
2. Morrowind code

The $39 version is code only
The $59 digital version is the code and digital goodies.

Pointless to buy the $59 version if you already own the game. Save $20

As stated above if I could have bought it from the store I would have but that is not an option. I have been waiting for Morrowind since the Pc version all those years ago and now I dont want anything going wrong because of the preorder I have. However the servers on the 6th June will be another matter entirely lol.

Maybe it's better to explain exactly what you mean when you write you can't buy it from the store.

It's interpreted as referring to the PSN store.
If that's a correct understanding.....it would then suggest, other than a billing issue, the code may not work.

What's stopping you from buying the $39 digital code from PSN?

@NewBlacksmurf No store where I currently am thats why even though my account is UK and it is too much hassle to get hold of the PSN cards here so it is easier to just buy disk versions and rhen when i do visit home I usually stock up on a few cards. Wont be back until after release so that is why.

PSN doesn't exist in your region?
If that's what you mean, have you looked at the support pages to ensure the game code will be supported if your PSN id is set in that region?
