The Most Viable Light Attack Bow Build

Inspired by the numerous encounters of archers in my PuG groups I decided to post a build suggestion. This build will utilise your favourite skill rotation while allowing you to reach the maximum DPS possible with it.

2 pc Molag Kena (head + shoulder):
(1 items) Adds 129 Weapon and Spell Damage
(2 items) When you deal damage with 2 consecutive Light Attacks you trigger Overkill for 6 seconds, which increases your Weapon and Spell Damage by 516 but also increases the cost of your abilities by 33%.

5 Piece Morkuldin(4 armor pieces + 1 bow):
(2 items) Adds 967 Max Stamina
(3 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(5 items) When you deal damage with a Light or Heavy attack, you have a 10% chance to summon an animated weapon to attack your enemies for 15 seconds. The animated weapon's basic attack deals 4551 Physical Damage.

5 Piece Storm Master (3 jewelry + 1 bow + 1 armor piece):
(2 items) Adds 688 Weapon Critical
(3 items) Adds 688 Weapon Critical
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(5 items) When you deal Critical Damage with a fully charged Heavy Attack, your Light Attacks deal additional 1333 Shock Damage for 20 seconds.

Rotation:
Start with the Storm Master Bow
Heavy Attack (repeat HA if you didn't crit)
Switch Bars to Morkuldin Bow
Light Attack
Light Attack
Acid Spray
Light Attack
Snipe
Light Attack (repeat until Morkuldin procs)
Repeat entire rotation

Life Hack!
If you are a Nightblade you can use Shadowy Disguise before the initial heavy attack to guarantee the next hit will be a crit! I didn't include it as I decided it might make the rotation too difficult.

Also if your a Nightblade the light attacks will proc assassin's will. So neat. Yeah this is probably the most viable. It's still very bad but neat to try lol...

Yes, I'm leveling an templar alt now, grinded most of the way so questing in Greenshade and see lots of the light attack with bow players kiting normal enemies looking at other more experienced players pulls groups into kill boxes.
Still they continue with their light attacks then they group for veteran dungeons

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Lol so true. I also see bow players now trying to make Snipe spamming the new meta :p

looks interesting. how's the single target dps on boss? and can it even handle large group of trash mobs in vet dungeons?

Awesome! Finally a build for people who don't understand how to make a build! If anything you may have made the build too efficient, at the expense of being even more gimmicky.

If (when) I try this I think I'll use the maw of the infernal monster set, because no-one would laugh at a build that summons a daedroth.
#1 tip (Re)check your graphics settings periodically - especially resolution.

For PVP I run similiar build I call "the fly" but with shield breaker. Whole playstyle is to annoy people. You usually win every encounter vs medium/light armor user. But for some horribly funny balance reason, spamming light attacks with siphoning strikes is still less sustainable than wearing heavy armor. So you usually lose stamina before them and then die.

This build sounds pretty fun. If you adjust the skills / rotation and add proper glyphs I think this build could be awesome. I am thinking about using it with the set that reduces the weapon enchant CD, don't know it's name yet.

Might not have massive skill damage but light attacks will deal a ton of damage with all of the additional procs.

This post made me LOL hard

You could also use the Ranger set I think its called that slows enemies hit by 30% for 3 seconds when hit by bow attacks

Always cracks me up in Cyro when you see a group of Bow users chasing a Sorc spamming their shield breaker light attacks :D

    That is a good point!
