Is it possible to find blue up to legendary recipes in containers? I know you can find purple pictures in chests as I've found 2 or 3, but I have only ever found green and white recipes from urns, containers and enemies. I appreciate it's all RNG, but I don't want to be wasting my time if it's only possible to find both white and green. Cheers!

I found a purple one stealing from a chest of drawers yesterday.

I have heard from a friend's experience that you can find golds in urns, chests, etc.

One of the first ones I found was some type of Argonian lamp which was a purple recipe. It was in a basket on a ship in Daggerfall.

Don't think I've found anything better than blue since then, but that's ok because most of the items I want have turned out to be blues and greens.

You can find up to purple.

^This; I've found about five purple recipes so far, and a healthy number of blue. No gold recipes yet.

I have virtually all greens and whites thus far because all I'm finding now are duplicates, so I'm assuming I have almost all green and white. I think i may have found 1 blue, but can't be 100% sure if that was amongst one of those i bought. Thanks again folks.

I've got a purple, a few blues and greens and one white...

But then, I never found a Gold food recipe in a container either, only from quests/holiday events...

Only ever found blue ones, chests, urns, baskets, wardrobes and people are the sources I got mine from.

I've found green, blue and purple. Mostly from backpacks, drawers, wardrobes and urns. A run into Razaks Wheel in Bangkorai usually gives me 1-3 furniture recipes.

That and the fighter's guild in mournhold is where I have got almost all my blueprints etc. I did venture into the public dungeon in Windhelm as that's one of the most densely populated areas for urns and containers, but it soon got boring and the boss drops are useless vendor trash for the most part.

I "learned" how to make a chicken drum (as in, a chicken leg) today but it seems to take far too many precious mats for such a small and uninteresting item for me to ever bother making it. Anywhere with lots of pots, crates and barrels seems like a good bet.
