Double AP event question.

I know devs have confirmed that resources and keeps will give double AP for captures during the event. Has it be stated if quests will give double AP?

I believe it is double AP from all sources of AP. Not completely sure but I'll see if I can summon the grand puba of PvP @ZOS_BrianWheeler to answer that.

Players trading it back and forth every minute for massive AP gains. Currently 130-200k/hr depending on keeps ownership and AP buffs.

So is it only for the PC servers? It wasn't quite specific when I read the article (it did state all live servers however). I could of just missed the memory somewhere but was hoping for all servers including console

He said he knew about it, which only happened after I had to post actual stats for him to see. Apparently before that they just went off incorrect (NA only?) data and didn't even realise it was happening.

It's quite worrying when the developers of a game have no idea what's even happening on one of their severs, I wish we could get more insight into how this was missed from their stats but I guess we never will.

As for what they're going to do about it who knows, saying they have seen behaviours is very far from actually stopping them, it's been two weeks of solid trading from 00:00 - 12:00 most week days now with players getting tens of millions of AP if they can be around for it.

This is the kind of thing they should have hotfixed live (if possible) or taken the servers offline and changed the values back as soon as it was reported. However once again ZOS dropped the ball and now the EU AP value has been ruined and once the value of any achievements and titles (not that most care) which were connected to an issue become worthless.

All formats for 1 week, no CP, double AP.

I don't think it's something that can be hotfixed as it appears to be due to player behaviour and not the systems in place. As I said, it doesn't appear on any of the NA campaigns so it appears to be an exclusively EU problem. We both have the same systems so the difference comes down to players. Bleakers is fought over heavily in most campaigns between DC and EP but that's what we do, we fight over it. We don't do AP trading there. Most of the time attacks on it fail do to better defences so the attackers regroup and try again.

This is a player mentality issue, but seeing as ZOS has already said they're going to change the values after the double AP weekend I don't see why they're not turning them back or rolling those changes out now.

Yes it might only be EU servers but it's still a huge issue for EU right now which ZOS could solve with a band-aid patch/rollback until they have a better system in place.

What event? Double AP sounds sweet but if everyone is going to Cyrodil then I won't be able to stay on long enough to earn any.

ZOS are doing a performance test this coming week. They are removing CP from all campaigns to see how that affects performance. To entice people to do PvP during this time, they've time a double AP week so they can get as many people in to test as possible

Yeah, I think I would be angry too, if I put over 1000 hours in getting rank 50, just to see people who only need about 270 hours for max rank...

If you have a big enough group you can get 200k AP in about 90 minutes just taking resources. You don't need to flip Bleakers to do this.

I could care less what achievement someone else has as they don't affect me at all. You don't receive any combat benefit for reaching this rank so it is really pointless. People just want to feel like snowflakes forever.

Honestly you can get tons of ap just capturing out of the way resources and keeps. Most don't even get defended.

It will continually become easier to reach max rank as the game goes on. That is how most games progress. You put in the extra time early on to have said achievement before others, but others will always catch up and achievements will become easier to get.

First of all the event does not last even 270 hours.
Then even if it did keeps being roughly 12K AP and Grand Overlord being around 64,000,000 AP it would take 5,333+ keep captures to obtain the rank.

So if you can bust down a keep every 5 min. that would be over 444 hours of game play.
Maybe some that are at higher rank will rightly benefit from this long overdue break but you aren't going to walk in and just take level 50 so easy.
