I want to be able to "switch jobs" as a temp, dragon knight, nightblade or sorc. I don't want to have to create 4 characters. I feel like they did it this way to force you to buy convenience items.
I DO NOT want to mix skills between the classes.......just switch classes.......
You say you want to be able to "switch jobs" - well, good news, you can, and it doesn't require a class change. Templars aren't the only healers, Sorcs aren't the only spellcasters, dragonknights aren't the only tanks, and nightblades aren't the only assassins. Every class can fill every role. At most, all you need to do is visit the respec shrine.
There is absolutely no need for either a class change option or for you to have one of every class in order to play any role you want. It all comes down to build and gear.
I know but I want to be able to summon pets......and be a templar..........all in one character. I don't want to make 2 different characters to do that. we don't make 2 different characters in other Elder Scrolls games.
.....well wait I don't, others might.

I do. I make a bow expert and anot illusion expert etc.
Can't you summon pets and equip a resto staff. What exactly are you looking for?

That other MMO is FFXIV. It is also doing extremely well.
I want 1 character and be able to switch classes. I DO NOT want to mix the classes together. You can't do that in FFXIV and that is NOT what I am suggesting. Just tired of seeing same animations I guess.

Fabulous. Now you know the game you should be playing since that games is designed as you want it.
Please Zos, do not make this game into an FF game. There is a reason most of us are playing this game vs FF or the suite of other MMOs out there. Fortunately this plea is not needed since Zos is not going to go in such a poor direction.

A sorcerer tank is probably not gonna be invited to veteran trial runs, but uh... neither am I, and I main a dragon knight tank. The game is already far more flexible than any MMO I've ever played. That's a good thing, but letting characters change classes defeats the whole purpose of having classes to begin with. I'd sooner see them get rid of classes entirely.
Same.....I just think its kinda odd when people have 12 toons.............I mean its your time do as you will but you can effectively have 1 character to do it all. Like in previous Elder Scrolls titles.

Just because one character can do it all doesn't mean that everyone wants to do it that way. I have 19 characters across two accounts and am looking forward to running three wardens (one per alliance) too. I much prefer running multiple single class characters to running one multiple class character, it gives a game so much more variety.
So.. the problem is lack of time/amount of time it takes to grind again those skill points and achievements on other character.Thealteregoroman wrote: »Not being able to be any class you want..........
I primarily like to play a healer in an MMO.......I like the Elder Scrolls series and the freedom it allows you........
I think having like 12 or 8 toons in my opinion to do the other class stuff abilities is what's really killing me here. I want to be a healer and if I want to damage deal why can't I have sorc abilities too or summon pets to fight? There are MMO's out there that allows you to create a character and "switch jobs" at will......I think that would have felt closer to an Elder Scrolls experience than what we have now.......
If they gave us world skill lines that expanded the 5 classes we had now I think that would help tremendously......
I tried to play my sorc character and all I could think about while playing is ALL THAT achievements and thieves guild and dark brotherhood skill lines I maxed out AND all the bag storage and horse training I bought and time I put into my healer character, skyshards and all. I was put off by it and went back from changing the healer class to A "master crafter."
The warden sounds like something I would have picked the first time before picking a templar.
It would have been nice to have the 3 Warden classes as a World skill line instead of making a new character..........
I am not on it alot and I know most people will say it doesn't take that long to level up a character.......I am not talking about leveling up.....I am talking about it not feeling like elderscrolls.
Anyways what do you guys think? Would you have wanted the WARDEN CLASS to be a World skill line?

Account wide skill points and achievements could really help...

I can care less about your snarky response. After you read this I would have already blocked you. This isn't the first time you have gotten on my nerves, it will be the last.
You asked me if there is any other mmo that does what I am asking, there is. When I told you, you responded in a juvenile matter. You arent better than me OR anyone else on these forums.
chill out. Stop responding on my posts.....I certainly stay clear of any of your.
Thanks.

You can dps, tank, or heal on any class and can easily swap roles with gear and enough skill points.
yea you are right.......still think we would have diversity if they were world skills instead.
I have to disagree. Inevitably, when everyone has access to all the same abilities and skills, a very small selection are actually used. Everyone ends up running with the same exact setup at endgame because of the prevalence of minmax builds.

This..your diversity actually turns into less. People will min/max and use the same setup. Everyone..... I am not sure why people think if you had access to all skills but could only use 10 that it would be more diverse. It wouldn't be. We would use the 10 best skills and the rest would rot.
