Is there a way to get the other 2 apartments in the other alliances?

I tried to buy them, but it said they were unavailable for purchase.

just make a character in that alliance and run the quest on them. I have done it quite easily on level 6 characters.

You can make a character for the other alliances, but I just outright bought them since they were cheap. Not sure what you did wrong.

Can you buy houses in another alliance if you have not gotten the "{insert alliance here} Hero" title? I thought I read somewhere that in order to buy a house in an alliance different than your own, you had to have the title for that alliance. If so, that could be why the OP couldn't buy them.

I don't know what the achievement requirements are for the apartments, but that is the requirement for just the manors.

I think that's confusing two different rules for two very different types of houses.

If you want to buy any of the manors (Ebonheart Chateau, Daggerfall Overlook and Serenity Falls Estate) with gold you need the relevant Alliance Hero title/achievement. Any character from any alliance can buy them, but you need the title.

Then way down at the other end of the scale are the free inn rooms. To get any of them you first have to complete the quest "A Friend in Need", which you can only do in your character's home alliance. After you've completed that you can either buy the other two with gold (I think it's 3k each) or use a character in that alliance to repeat the quest and get it for free.

FYI They don't appear in the Crown Store house list, I can't remember if they appear in the Collections list or if you have to manually go to the relevant inn to preview and buy them.

Oh on a related note there are two different categories of rooms in inns you can obtain.

The free ones are just called Inn Rooms, they're the smallest and can be obtained by completing the quest or paying a small amount of gold, as discussed.

There are also Apartments which are slightly bigger and in different locations. These cost 11,000, 12,000 or 13,000 gold or they can be purchased with crowns (furnished or unfurnished). As far as I know there are no requirements to buy them except for completing the housing quest once, in any alliance.

What I'm not clear on is the purpose of being offered the inn room quest on multiple characters in the same alliance, can they each get a separate room or is it just for xp?

Just for XP and possibly immersion. I can imagine it'd bother some people if one character had to do a quest to earn the inn room and another just showed up one day and suddenly owned it.

(Not an issue for me because all my characters are supposed to know each other, they often craft stuff for each other, or share loot they find, so it's not unusual they'd share the inn rooms too.)

Did you buy each one with the same character, or did you buy them each with a character from the appropriate alliance? I wanted to buy them all with the same character, and that's probably my problem.

Thanks, and I agree with you. I don't have a "main toon plus alts", I have a party of equal characters and they are self-sufficient between them.
