Would your teams be open to changing how you go about using feedback which results in changes, nerfs or updates. You even invited players up recently but no one else was involved in feedback.
Current state:
You've shared that you all use PTS, streamers and forum threads to influence some changes, updates.
Current results
This tends to lead to aggressive threads or lengthy and frequent create of topics and include displeasure and frustration or splitting of the community for PvE and PvP as well as combat, gear, skills and features.
Suggestion for the future:
Using a Six Sigma method or consultative method.
Asking what and why multiple times and asking for specific examples prior to moving to any idea or considerations of changes, updates or additions
How
I believe the forums could allow some ideas however, the interactions need to be led by your PR team if using the forums.
1. One example is actually creating a sticky and polling. You often create feedback threads but the feedback is all over the place
Look at your ESO Plus thread and your PTS stickies.
The active forum community doesn't speak for any majority but these folks are here to frequently engage with one another as well as you all.
2. Another example is using email questionnaires as you did in closed PC beta.
Being very specific and drilling down to a focused approach, it would better allow your teams to gain context before spending time on things you're guessing at.
It's just a suggestion but each week, you all should have a handful of threads and once a month, an email to check pre, current and post updates how customer feel about very specific changes.
Let's go off patch notes and very popular threads that forum MODs close to direct people to one main thread.
This should drive this type of feedback and interaction to better influence more aligned updates, features and changes.
