Rendering Rate much improved after some tweaks on XBNA...

My rendering rate has been crap for a while... by rendering I mean that NPC, PC take forever to load when first starting game or when entering new areas... so today I decided to manually enter my DNS setting... I used namebench, which informed me that OpenDNS was my best bet... after switching to that I am no longer getting "unusually long time" loading screens and almost immediate rendering, also no random loading screens when running through towns...

I am not network savvy, so I don't know the ins and outs of the changes I made today and this might just be a coincidence, but it is a noticeable difference...

This works great if you have ports forwarded and stuff. But I wouldn't say it's going to resolve all these problems.

The texture load even after having this done is zone and population specific.

Craglorn, Orsinium, and all DLC towns have much slower loading and often result in the game crashing consistently for over 12 months regardless of any patch updates.

Towns with Undaunted quests load much slower

Towns with multiple traders load much slower

Dye stations are another good way to crash after slow texture loading.

Seems these things go ignored by ZOS but there's a few threads in tech support and bug reports from over a year ago to current on these.

I'm sure its dependent, but I'm talking about my experience in Rawl'ka, which was pretty horrible in all those aspects before I changed my DNS... I've been on for last 3hours and the improvement is definitely noticeable... but as always YMMV...

Prob helps to clarify what port forwarding IF any you have

Let ppl know if the Xbox one lists your NAT as OPEN, STRICT or MODERATE before and after the DNS changes

No port forwarding that I am aware of... NAT has always been Open for me... before and after the change...
