Request: Damage Shield Target Dummy

Could we please get an uncrittable target dummy?

This could be done two ways:
1. A Target Skeleton with 1 Health but a huge damage shield (3M normally, 6M robust) *
2. An uncrittable Target Skeleton

The reason for this is simple:
It could be really nice for testing different rotations, without the possibility of Critical chance making it necessary to perfectly repeat a test 30+ times and average them to get super accurate results.

All it'd really take is one perfect kill of the target skeleton rotation-wise and you'd know exactly what your setup was capable of. Also if you miss a few light attack weaves you can factor those in easier since they all deal equal damage. Generally I would use something like this to try to figure out non-meta rotations that deal fantastic damage, and to compare the damage on certain skills.

It would also be great for simply testing damage against 0 resistance and without crits should the damage shield route be taken. Nice for a raid group to practise the first boss of vMoL shield mechanic too.

I feel something like this would be really cool and it'd add a new type of target dummy to collect :)

NOTE: I'm on console. Not entirely sure if this is even remotely useful when you have addons, but it'd be really nice at least on console.

    The 6M Target Skeleton gives you a long enough fight to give you a reasonable chance that your skills have the exact crit chance they are supposed to have. So i don't see any need here

    True, but it would still be nice to have though. When fighting a 6M health target dummy, it's also tougher to not make a single mistake and still your Crits will make a small difference in DPS.

    You can get *exact* numbers which helps with testing other types of stuff and this also gives a third type of target dummy.

    More of a "why not" type of feature. I'd like to have one.

    Yep! A damage shield target dummy could be used for a lot of useful tests. I could see this possibly being added in the future

    Couldn't you just get a sorc friend to pure stack max magic sets, use mage mundus and then stack hardened, dampen, healing ward, barrier etc 100pts bastion 100points hardy or ele defender depending on tester until you get bored or run oom

    Not to mention that it would really show some major discrepancies between builds and stats when non crittable targets enter the fray, to give Zeni some more accurate balance information. I like the idea.

    To further expand on this system, I'd really like for target skeletons to be more malleable in terms of adjusting their stats. It would be awesome to adjust their resistances, give them gear sets, set them to player entities to see how Battle Spirit effects, and so on. It would help players learn so much more and breathe so much life into theory crafting, as well as spreading real evidence of knowledge instead of word of voice.

    Oh cmon now -_- By that logic we never should have implemented target dummies, since your tank friends could just absorb your damage.

    Target Dummies are helpful, cool, easy to use and convenient.

    I was going to create another thread soon on that very topic! The ability to manually adjust target stats would be amazing. Also being able to select/deselect buffs and debuffs from of list containing all in-game effects would allow both in-depth testing and for a single person to test DPS without a friend on the sideline providing typical debuffs or a group of friends providing full raid debuffs.
