Housing needs storage and eso+ subs need more value after the introduction of chapters, so give eso+ subs housing storage crates/chests.

It's desired, and it will come in time. However, it is not as per the poll title needed "NOW". They haven't said they're not doing it, just that it didn't make the cut for launch.

    My prediction:
ZOS will add a craftable (or crown purchasable) "storage trunk/closet/shed/...". Based on the size of the house it will affect either the size or quantity of these you may have.
e.g. an apartment may have a 10-item storage bin, but a manor may have a grand 500-item storage room.

... fingers crossed for this in morrowwind

Probably - Yes. ZOS will not risk to lose reason to use ESO + (craft bag). Even if it will be an upgrade "for crowns only" - It will be a nice upgrade - but this will be highly dependent on the price, and it needs to be at lest reasonable.

    I have an alternative solution . . .
I say no when most friends ask me to run a dungeon with them just because I am not interested in getting more loot that I don't have room to store. I'm even sitting on over 100 undaunted keys because if I use them they take up too much storage space.

This isn't quite a token system, but I just imagined a different approach that probably isn't feasible, but maybe it might give some smart person other ideas. What if dungeon loot wasn't actually lootable from a corpse but instead there is a system that records when a specific item set and trait would have been lootable via the RNG system.

So say you are going after the Sanctuary set and you are running Banished Cells and you would like all Divine pieces. You run the dungeon and go to your nifty new Item Set Rewards Screen. On this screen you would select the Sanctuary set tab and specific items and traits you unlocked would be bright and shiny and ready for you to redeem, other items and traits you haven't unlocked would be grayed out and unavailable for redemption. As someone who is seeking Divine only at this time you redeem the Divine Sanctuary pieces RNG said you earned and the actual item is mailed to you. Meanwhile say 6 months from now Divines has become terrible and Prosperous is the cat's meow, you can visit your handy dandy Set Rewards Screen and purchase the Prosperous pieces you unlocked.

How does this differ from a token system? It still has RNG which means that some people will get lucky and be eligible to receive their desired items and traits faster than others, but unlike the existing system you have the choice to not receive the actual items but retain eligibility to receive them later on if you so choose. This would provide relief to many of us hampered by the current item storage system.

I hope it makes sense how I explained this, I'm not always very good with words :)

They claim to have a "do no harm" policy with crown purchases. Making storage upgrades that are crown-only would definitely cross into the territory. I think they've already crossed into it with some other stuff, but let's not make it worse.

I dont think there needs to be more raw storage added to housing. But I would love for a few things. First, the furniture and particularly the collectible limits are too low. I have a Manor and ESO plus and I am running out of room. Second, I want mannequins and armor racks to display unique items and motifs. If the result is that frees up a bit of inventory, all the better.

The only reason I haven't bought a house is that there is no practical incentive for buying one. Adding some kind of storage space in them will definitely persuade more people to buy them.

Reading through these threads I feel most of us would like to have the flexibility we had with housing in Skyrim.
It would be nice to have display cases and dummies to not only decorate our homes but to show our achievements.
The developers can provide us with the ability to earn or purchase these items whether through crowns, gold or as a drop by completing a Veteran dungeon. Imagine getting a piece of furniture that allows you to store items such as the current pack we use today. If you want more capacity purchase more space the same way you do with your pack.

Hope to see this be an option in the future and it would be nice if it came before Morrowind's release in June.

When trying to buy the wonderful selection of shrubberies and trees from the crown store I hit a wall. I did not have enough inventory slots.

Really? Like WTF lol Everything you find or buy goes in to your inventory.

So we are should just melt divines/impen stuff we keep because you said so? I am ESO+ subscriber with 7 playable characters and 5 mules that hold just my bound stuff. For other things I have entire mule account. You can call me what you like, but who in the name of Molag Bal gives you right to tell me what should I keep and what should I sell/melt/destroy? I like to collect armor sets. And ESO has plenty of these. Most are useless junk atm, but who knows what new updates and "balancing" will do to the meta we have now, etc. Useless junk might be the next meta in the future, prices of the items I have stored might skyrocket at some point. I might even buy another mule account, who knows. But it would be much better if we get some stash in housing.

Manequins to display your sets were a huge hit for Skyrim and now players in ESO are thirsty for something of the same 1st, for utility to be able to store the different sets and then for the pride of displaying them. Manequins should be classed into the groups where the gear drops i.e. Overland PvE, PvP, Dungeons, and trials.

The game has never been designed (or is it necessary) for us to collect a whole swathe of different sets, useful each only for a particular niche.

Don't get me wrong, I'd certainly enjoy storage in my home, but it is certainly not something that the game needs.

Allow me to disagree with you.

On my tanks I use different sets for PvP, PvE dungeons, PvE trials.

Same goes for healer. For DD's it's PvP and PvE only. But for other roles I need atleast 3 sets. I don't need my tank to wear uber armors for vet dungeons. I like to wear Thunderbug in dungeon (sometimes in PvP), while I can't wear it to trial. I need to have Ebony armor for trials, which I don't like to wear in dungeons. I need to have Syrabane and one or two other's for PvP. Yea, it takes alot of storage to have fun with the game and not stick to one boring build.

I have an idea for how to do the housing storage and I think this will make furniture usefull. All houses will have a shared inventory, which you will be able to access from some of your furniture.
They will have builtin filters, chests will show all items, cupboards will only show your food, crates and boxes will show your furniture, armor and weapon stands will show your armor and weapons (which you will be able to equip to them form their inventory), you will be able to equip books to bookcases from their inventory...
An npc will sell you inventory space for gold or crowns (like the npc who upgrades your bag space) and it will be gated behind your first house of each type (up to 10 for free room, 20 for your first appartment ...).
    Sorry for my English.

It doesn't really matter. No matter how much you give them, they will still moan and groan that it's not enough.

im pretty surprised NPCs and storage were not included in the housing patch. NPCs are off topic but yeah, if you buy a house, you should get included storage scaled to the size of that house. even if its like 60 slots for a small house, 120 for a medium, 250 for a large house and 500 for the manors (kind of like a guild bank).

Goodness knows they make you pay enough for them .. .

You are talking specifically of gear sets and not actual items. You don't need storage space, you need usable mannequins to put that stuff on. Wouldn't that be easier? That way you have your set all on one mannequin instead of searching chests/dressers/whathaveyou?

Have mannequins be in a separate decorating category like the way trophies and that are so maybe have a max of 20 mannequins or something. No recipe, rare-ish world/dungeon/trial/chest/etc drop (rare enough that they aren't worthless to sell for gold but not rare enough for it do be useless for its purpose), non-boe.

TBH i want more along the line of storage enhancers than more slots - cuz just giving me more slots is giving a junkie another fix - like each increase before now - it just postpones the pain.

mannequin/rack where i could deploy 22 slots worth of gear (the specific pieces and eight quickslots "stacks".)
Swap in and out in a click-click.

this would help me to focus on storing complete builds, not just pieces i may need.
i would be fine if those mannequins tied up my existing inventory slots or if each of its 22 "slots" ate a house furnishing slot.

this would help change how i operate on using storage - not just give me a few more slots.

let me craft "crates" which would serve as "named containers/sub-tabs" in my own inventory - again not so much gaining any new slots but being able to pack together this thing or that thing.

With backpack line, horse line and bank line of storage available now - dont IMo work to give housing more dumb storage but let it help maske our existing storage into smarter storage.

that way it doesn't compete with the other storage but complement it.

    IMO

Ah yes, because everyone can afford to pay monthly for an online game that has little to no effect on the real world.

I'm not even much of a hoarder and struggle to keep up my inventory space. Between the bound sets, gold items, and master weapons I am constantly out of room for new gear. And this is me cleaning my bank out regularly!

I can afford ESO+, but that would be a waste of money. It's called inventory management and throwing away junk and valuable stuff for even more important stuff.

You allow 1 small house to hold 10 items and you'll buy every small house for +100 extra space. And other houses hold more, I suppose, so let's say you buy each house for each race, and you'll get +300 extra space, at least? Sure, add it, let's see how many ESO+ members will stop subscribing. After finishing with the DLC's, the crafting bag seems like the only reason anyone would still pay monthly. But if you add storage to houses, you might as well buy every house and store everything in your crafting bag, and more in those.

heck, give me the ability to craft a manifest or ledger. looks like a set of books.

manifest would let every character "sign-in" and auto-log their complete inventory. it then allows those with permissions to read the manifest and sort, organize etc so you can see where this set is and where that piece is and so on.

or heck just let me export from it to an excel file or other flat text delimited format.
