What's up with the accelerated spawn rate?

I'm on PS4 and noticed that since the housing update delve mobs are spawning ridiculously fast, perhaps 20 seconds or so after killing them. I want to test some more delves tomorrow but it was happening this evening in Chid-Moska. Also noticed that certain containers are respawning very quickly. I was playing with a friend yesterday, doing The Veil Falls. I'd go in and out of the Veiled Keep door while waiting for my friend to get to my location, and the containers outside the door would have respawned their contents in that amount of time.

Was this intentional or is it something that is going to be changed or fixed in a future patch? I don't mind so much about the containers (haha) but I like to stealth a delve, take my time, loot all the containers, and it's practically impossible to play them that way now. Maybe it was just that one delve, but I'm hearing from other people I am talking to about this on reddit that it's happening to them in other places.

    I've noticed it happens in quest dungeons. Last night I was doing some quests in Bangkorai, I had to kill the mobs on the way to the NPCs several times.
    Maybe it was made to get more loot or to spend more time getting something done.

    The spawn rates vary depending on how many players are present, which probably explains most of it.

    There is an area in Chid-Moska which is bugged and has a ridiculously high spawn rate regardless of how many players are present. It's been that way for a very long time, been reported repeatedly and has yet to be fixed.

    Containers refill each time a zone is loaded, so if you are passing through a loading screen, that's what's going on there. Been that way since launch.

    I play a lot with 12 characters all over Tamriel and haven't noticed any difference in spawn rates on PC/NA since Homestead, but that's just my personal observation, subject to error, and may not apply to PS4.

    As for slow-crawling delves, I like to do that, too. I've found that the respawns definitely mellow out in off-peak hours, and that, as is far too often the case, the game plays better when fewer players are present.

    Anyway, whatever your preferences may be, good luck and good hunting. B)

    There was no one else present except for a low ranking player I was helping out and I'd done that delve a couple weeks ago and it wasn't anywhere near as fast. But I'm going to test it on a couple other delves today and see if it was just that one or if it's system-wide. I hadn't been in any delves since the update so it came as a surprise.     I have been feeling the same way in delves since Homestead update. I feel quite pressured to race through notes/containers and have had the foes I just killed respawn on top of my head at a rate that seems too quick. I generally do delves when they are not crowded. It just feels like delves respawn foes faster - and I don't care for it.

    I noticed this last night, I was standing by an ore node and it respawned maybe 3-4 times in maybe 5 minutes or so. I also noticed mobs in the wild re spawning more frequently too, but not at the rate of that node.

    Yes, that too! I was fishing in Bal Foyen and the water node I was standing next to spawned three times in the amount of time it took to fish out the spot I was at.

    Similar for Xbox one on day one....I've always understood respawn rates to be contingent upon players in the area (not necessarily in our phase/instance)

    Its the zone population, not the Delve Population when respawn rates are set to population.

    OK, but it just doesn't seem to fit. I've been in delves in zones where there were tons of people (Auridon) and never had mobs respawn within seconds like this. It feels off.

    I always see mobs quickly respawning after new content comes out. Whether it is ZOS cranking the rates up temporarily or down to some built in mechanism does not matter. Currently on the PC, it seems normal in the delves I have been in, and your on the same patch on the consoles.

    However look at the bright side, you have more to loot and mobs are a source of Blueprints and Patterns and such. So, enjoy the harvest.

    I would enjoy it if it didn't mess up looting containers and opening books. Maybe it will calm down, or maybe it was just that one delve. More testing is needed. Good thing I was going skyshard hunting in a new zone today anyway.

    So I tested several other delves this evening, all in Stonefalls, and none of them were on overdrive, they seemed normal. So I guess the issue was with Chid-Moska itself as previously mentioned.
