Purple Furniture Recipes

I just wonder what the best place is to farm purple furniture recipes: I have been in all houses around Tamriel to empty every cupboard, crate and dresser without getting a single purple one. I buy them in stead for outregious prices at the auction, where it is obvious that many purple furniture recipes are sold by the same seller.
Do I look on the wrong places? Is there another way to farm them?
Please share it here with me :-)

Same here, I assume they're just very rare. You can buy a random purple 'recipe' from the voucher guy for 10 vouchers...maybe that is where that person is getting so many.

Found two thus far.

So far my success has all been from stealing from containers. Particularly most successful was in the bank in Auridon.

They are rare but I have found them in urns, backpacks as well as dressers and nightstands.

Got 3 purple furniture recipes so far from hollow city cold harbour, from bank desks, cabinets. I go there for 2 or 3 runs per day.

I haven't done it so I'm not sure but I think you can get a random one with writ vouchers from the master crafting writs.

Run all the Dwemer ruins. Make sure to look in every available urn. Right now they are so crowded you don't have to worry about mobs or bosses most the time (though waiting on the boss for a possible drop is worth considering) but the urns are instanced to you so there will be plenty to open. Old Orsinium is really good once you get a little deeper in. Don't bother with the first level though.

Dressers, wardrobes, cupboards, and backpacks seem to be the best when stealing/looting.

Doing master writs and buying from the master writ vendor works too

A couple of people in my guild claim looting gives a better chance than stealing. Not sure if that is true or not as I haven't been keeping track of what I get when. Usually when my bags are full I check to see what I got sell/decon the junk bank the goodies and go again.

Me and my wife are always looting backpacks etc, and were even going into nmol over and over and looting the 5 backpacks at the start then resetting the instance. We have collectively only found 1 purple so far and literally hundreds of greens, and a few blues

I've gotten about 150 writ vouchers this week that I turned in and spent all of them on the purple envelopes. I figure while everyone else is rushing out to spend on the gold stuff I'll corner the market on purple furniture.

Only problem ... no one buys it.

I actually get purples from Vet Dungeons too, trunks and backpacks as well, got a purple this morning from a Craglorn backpack.

Lucky you, I wonder if they increased the drop rates in the world, 2 days ago got two on one hollow city run, can't believe my eyes.

I haven't tried selling furniture I can craft yet but I did get a little bottle out of one of the ten vouchers thing and sold it for 32K. It went in about 15 minutes so I might have under priced it?

I can relate. I bought the purple wine bottle recipe, thinking everyone civilized would want some wine bottles in their estates. Enthusiastically made a couple, which have been on a guild traders ever since. I even dropped the price to below the value of the mats needed to make it, and they still won't sell.
Apparently all the other players in ESO are beer drinkers.

One was a massive redguard carpet looking thing that hangs on a wall I think. Sold for 200k on day 1

Do a run of coldharbour once in a while, lots of cabinets and since it's not stealing theres a higher chance of blueprints (smaller droppool since no treasures drop).

There isn't a best place to farm them. Blueprint drops are completely random.

My suggestion is to spend your time farming gold and then buying the blueprints you need.
