Getting kicked from Veteran Dungeons

Been trying to get a monster helm but every time I queue I get kicked instantly. I'm cp 180 and have most of my items gold with good base stats. Do other players think I'm trash at the game because I'm not cp 600?

Also I think it's rediculous that I'm getting kicked and am being punished with a 15 minute probation for something that is out of my control.

Players that kick other players often should receive the punishment.

Whilst most wouldn't for the majority of dungeons, there are the DLC Dungeons where most want more because of the difficulty and no one wants to waste their time, just to give someone a chance....

I've been mostly trying Selene's Web and Cradle of Shadows. I really want a Velidreth or Selene undaunted set for my stamblade.

Cradle may be understands because it's really hard (but some cp 180 can definitively beat it more easily than most 600cp players), but selene, really ? These players were just bad, sorry for you.

Selene's shouldn't be an issue as for CoS it can be a dps burn and some groups don't want lower than a certain cp lvl. It can seem unfair but it happens.

You do have to realize that Vet Selene's Web (HM) and Cradle Of Shadows are two of the more difficult dungeon runs in the game. So if they are kicking you, it's because they don't believe you have enough CP's to do the content. Heck, even most CP600 characters struggle with those dungeons

Short term I would suggest kragh's from fungal 1 until you can get a group to run cos with

You don't need the LFG tool to do dungeons. It works just as well with a group you create from friends, your guild or other people you talk to. Save yourself the frustration.

Just Elite's thinking they can kick people as they please. Personally I think these players should get soft-banned for this kind of behaviour. CP discrimination should be a reportable offense.

If you make your own group then you have full-right to kick someone based on their CP, but if you're using the dungeon finder tool, you have no right whatsoever to kick anybody based on their CP. If they suck, sure, but let them show you what they can do before you kick them.

When are you being kicked? There was a glitch with the group finder for a while where it would disband groups instead of forming them.

You might not be getting kicked, you might be getting dropped. How's your connection?

Or, you could be getting kicked if you have a bad connection and the other players aren't seeing your character on their screen, even though it looks fine on your end, if it looks like you have dc'd.

Another reason you might be getting kicked, if your connection isn't the problem, is if your not playing the role you queued up for.

Are you trying to dps or heal in all heavy armor? That'll usually get you booted in a hurry, too.

I have to be honest. Both of those (Selene less so) are pretty unforgiving, I can't really blame them. You may be a great player at 160CP, but some Vet's are much harder than others.

Tanking or healing with low CP DPS people makes the run go very, very slowly. Not to mention resource and time drain.

An limit on one kick for getting an new player from the dungeon finder would be an idea.
You can kick but you risk that the replacement only use light attack.

Now having some sort of qualification system like undaunted points would make sense. You need to have completed 20 normal dungeons or say 3 veteran ones to queue for random non dlc veteran, dlc veteran is next level.

did they ever fix the glitch where GF disbands the group itself? Before the update there was about a 40% chance that if you did eventually get put in a group through GF it would disband the group as soon as it formed. Not sure if they fixed it or not yet

I have been pugging a lot these lasts days, but i couldnt answer this because before the update i never had a group disband either.
What happens a lot now is the group is formed after the ready check and no one gets ported to the dungeon OR a bunch of ready checks followed by instants "the group was not compatible" and then it takes you out of the queue, this last one happened to me 9 times in a row until i got matched with 2 players under 50 and one cp 100ish, it was a normal run.

Selene's Web and Cradle of Shadows HM is quite difficult to do and I'm not saying that to blow your bubbles either. It literately is due to the the mechanics. I've even seen some 600+ players struggle with both dungeons, and I crap you not either.

Unfortunately with these two complicated dungeons I can understand why you're being kicked out, especially if you're a healer or a tank. You simply do not have enough substantial points in the champion line to sustain yourself. Unfortunately ZOS still haven't fix the Group finder to find players that is within range of your own.

You may have most of your gear gold out, but you still lack the CP points that can help you to pull your own weight.

Don't take it personally when other players vote kick you out in a HM dungeon situation.

Ah Co's is a bit tough, selenes is easy enough. Find a few friends and run with them. If xbox NA I got people willing to help if needed, I run with a group of 200 cp on vet wgt so yeah it can be done. Gt is same as name if you need a group, we can get you the helms you want.

Yeah I'm annoyed at the frequent kicking going on. Im only cp 160 but have been playing my Mag sorc on and off since release. Im leaps and bounds better than the average sorc at CP560+ and am still being kicked based on the little number next to my name. Even though I ALWAYS perform given the chance.
People need to get it through their head that the higher CP DOES NOT = better player. Sure you have more resources and POTENTIAL to be a better player the higher CP you have but give a *** player 600 CP or 150CP, theyre still gonna be a *** player.

Here's the thing.

By having less CP you are capped on damage. Your not geting the full benefites of say, hardy, elemental defender, the damage and sustain upgrades, so on and so fourth. Plus, people dont know that. I've seen 600's who have no rotation.

Best advice? Level until you have around 300 CP, that's typically the point where most people are okay with you queueing vet.

PS: It could also be a rotation issue. If your build and roation sucks, then that gold gear means zippity do-dah. If people see you repeatedly casting jabs or burning embers, you'll be kicked. Had to do it the other day.

I understand why he would be kicked if the group is concerned that his CP level doesnt compliment what they determined the dungeon would require, but instead of kicking him without giving him a shot - why dont they jsut see how far they get and give him pointers on how to improve?

It's not a connection problem because it never happens when doing regular dailys.

It's not a build/rotation issue. Sometimes I get booted before I even get a chance to travel. I never get a chance to attack something.

I should have mentioned I am on PS4. Not sure of other platforms had this issue but it happened a good bit to a lot of people on PS4/NA before the update

As others have said, Cradle is understandable. I wouldn't really want to do any of the DLC dungeons on vet (especially not on vet hard mode) with anyone below about CP200-300 unless I'd run with them before and knew that they were significantly above average players.

Selene's Web though... Sure, on vet hard mode it's one of the tougher non-DLC dungeons, but it's not that bad. I've done it with me (CP capped) tanking, a healer who was close to CP cap but not there yet, and 2 DPS who were both below CP160 (I think one was at about 80 and the other was at about 140), neither of whom had much dungeon experience (it was only their 2nd ever vet dungeon), 1 of whom played entirely in first person, and the other one being colour blind making it difficult to see the red to keep out of it. If we could do it with that group (ie. 2 experienced and probably above average but not elite players with high CPs, and 2 inexperienced players with low CPs and several disadvantages) then an average group should be able to do it no problem with someone who's below 200 CP, but at least has max-level gear.

Elites aren't using that tool all that often.

I hate myself when I have to vote to kick somebody. If I have a problem with (I will not say low CP players) underperforming players I will openly discuss it with them in chat and ask them to leave. I will offer support and advice if I can coz its the right thing to do.

The game is currently built around CP160 gear and every build is able to pull 15k -20k dps at CP160 so I hate when people say your 'too low CP'! I am CP 240 and can pull enough damage for vet trials. CP does not determine skill or damage/heal/tanking output! It helps marginaly. People need to realise this.

I was fortunate enough to find good players to help me maximise my build. I met them in a Vet CoA run.... I was CP 98. And struggling to hell. The Team messaged me and asked me to 'wait a sec' while they made some changes, then 2 went offline and changed toons (so they could carry me). They then carried me through the mechanics and explained them to me. They threw me some crafted gear to help. I was pulling 10k dps at the start of the trial and ended up leaving being able to hit 14k with tips and rotation changes. I completed the trial with them at CP103 (still have the monster mask to show for it).

Because of the love that group showed me, by the time i hit CP160 I was pulling 20k+ dps consistently.

The quality of players in this game would be sooo much better if people took time out to actually help people to improve.

If you are CP160 as DPS role for Vet Cradle of Shadows, it's pretty much going to be a 100% guaranteed insta-kick. That dungeon is difficult even for max CP characters, and your meager DPS will just cause group wipes repeatedly due to overwhelming boss mechanics.

Selene's is much, much easier. You should be able to do it. The only problem will be the second form of the last boss, as this can be very hard for a low DPS group. However, if you have a solid 600 CP DPS in the group, they can carry you through it.
