All technical reasons aside, I don't think any company could do so without creating serious conflicts.

The media co to use to encourage and troll ideas and influences that intend to be devisive so there's this console war created .....in mass many have brought into those influences so while some would get a long, largely it would be a social nightmare.

I can foresee PC and Xbox only or pc and PS4 only servers but not PS4 and Xbox in any combinations as a wise design.

If this game actually separated PvP from PvE there would be opportunities for arena type servers but otherwise....my opinion is it's a very bad idea for this game.

Funny all the PC users saying Console would get "destroyed" if it was cross platform. Destroyed in what?

Sure as hell not PVP. Never seen so many players get 1vX'd in my life till I started watching PC PVP videos. That *** wouldn't fly on console. Too many players that actually know what their doing when it comes to PVP and not enough "scrubs" or free kills as I would like to call it. Of course this is hypothetically speaking and if all platforms were on an even playing field. (addons etc)

PVE is a different story though. I would definitely give the advantage to PC when it comes to PVE and scoreboards. Their numbers are better.

The reason there's so many zergs on PC is because the amount of players in PvP. Think about it. If they did cross-platform, it'd be exactly the same, if not worse for the "1vX'd" you've described. And last time I checked, most wars are won with large numbers, not two guys honorably fighting one another. Well, unless you have two halflings, a woman, and an army of ghosts. Then you can win, regardless of the odds stacked against you.

To be honest, I was originally for the idea of cross-platform a little. But now, considering all the possible issues and problems that could ensue, I'm cozy here with just PC players. Also, DLC priority, graphics, bigger/better community, addons, arguable skill margins, only need to pay for Internet to be on servers, and ability to play with mouse/keyboard or controller. I can keep going.

PC players will absolutely destroy console players with add-ons and better frame rates.
I don't think you really want that.

not to mention macros ! ;)

seriously tho, letting the PC transfers in to the consoles after they had sooo much lead time was crazy.

That said. I'd luv to see cross play between platforms, or at least console transfers.

I assumed they'd be, but that was silly of me. And no, it wasn't a joke

while i would enjoy this seeing how i do not pvp, i can see where PC or anyone using a M/K would have an advantage over controller players. Then we have add-ons for pc and frame rate as well as graphical adjustments. Now perhaps ps4 and xb1 cross platform would work but i can't see those two companies getting along long enough for that.

once the game starts to die everyone will be cross platform it's cheaper for them just to have one server but i assume that is a long way off

with respect... while that thread initially looks like it's about a ban due to macros, it's REALLY about a person banned for botting... that's a different thing from say using a macro to reliably animation cancel in PVP. ALL DOLMEN BOT FARMERS SHOULD BE BOOTED!

In fairness to ZOS, it would be challenging to monitor for the average macro user.

@QuebraRegra I see. To be honest, I'm misinformed on what exactly a macro does or if they were allowed. I just guessed they weren't okay because it alters the gameplay in a way where it's played for you. Correct?
