Vet Hard mode Maw

Has anyone beaten Vet Hard mode Maw since the Homestead Update? Hadn't only a few hundred people in the world (like 10-20 raid groups) beaten it before all the massive DPS nerfs (Jesus Beams and Major Force) that came with Homestead? Is Vet Hard Maw even possible now? I have zero experience with trials I am just curious.

Gilliam the Rogue tweeted that there was an overall significant reduction in trials DPS from Homestead.

For mag sorc what really increased dmg is the pet, and the destro passives and some other small things. (probably missed some stuff.)
It atleast didn't decrease the dmg for the sorc. I am still able to pull 34k dps (Not the best I know) on the dummy don't know for other classes though.

The damage was almost the same for me in vMoL we still skipped lunar but we wiped at 30k health in execute so we just quit xD no clue what killed us in execute though but oh well.

Homestead was a DPS increase. Yes, Horn got nerfed, but each magicka class got small buffs through Destruction staff passives and the extra CP also help.

I guess he also referes to the nerf of Rearming Trap + the changes to the crit damage and the nerf to dual wield. I'm not into endgame raiding but from what I read in the forum, stam is in a bad place for endgame content compared to the newly buffed magicka counterparts.

Ye that is true. You do about the same dps as last patch. However as all magicka setups got buffs....stam now is completely outDPSed by Magicka setups in Single Target dps & aoe.

Most Magicka setups do like 3-4k more Single target DPS and about double the AoE damage.

Yes, as other's said, magicka builds are doing more damage than previously.

I don't know off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure more than a few hundred people have beaten vMaw HM.

We beat it last night, so yep, it's doable my dps stayed somewhat the same, 35k without drain on..

I was just echoing a comment Deltia made offhand in a vid. Seems like more people should be able to do it. Like top 5-10% of players worldwide. Otherwise what is the point?

Not even 2 or 3 percent of playerbase plays vet trials, let alone vMaw.

vMaw alone has a small completion rate. How often do you see people wearing a dromathra skin?

vMaw hard mode is a whole nother beast in itself. Not many people can beat this, but a few hundred seems a little low.

There are reportedly 8 million active players. A few hundred say 500 players is 0.00625% of the playerbase.

To be honest, I don't know the actual numbers. Only ZOS does. But you can estimate by the leaderboards how many people have beaten vMol hm.

This patch alone in the last 2 weeks on PC, it looks like 250 players have beaten vMol hm. I don't know for sure, I'm just estimating based off the scores achieved.

If we are talking how many players throughout the history of the game have beaten vMoL hm, I'm guessing its in the several thousands.

Granted, its all speculation. if anyone is more informed, I'd love to know.

Going on a year now with ESO and right around 800 CP, I still consider myself an average players and for the sake of ranking.. I would be within the bottom 10 percentiles, out of (supposedly) 8 millions active players. Yes, I am that good. Ha ha. I don't believe I will ever transcend into any hardcore player or become psychotic enough to venture into vMoL hard mode. I still curse vMA and its developers in silent. Ha ha. Kudos, though, to all you crazy ffing *beep* people/players that do, and to all you crazy ffing *beep* developers that created it.

Just like to mention this, although, may be a bit off the tangent of this thread. Hate it, from the Rearming Trap getting nerfed, but you can still switch to the Lightweight Beast Trap. It still does comparably similar amount of damages as the Rearming before the nerf. The only thing with the Lightweight, you literally have to quickly double-tap to get it to deploy. Plus, the Lightweight has a cool sound when deploying.
