For people(like me) that would rather not watch this entire thing if they don't have to. Here are the important points(things that matter to me) that I took away.

    Battlegrounds:
    1. You can have premade groups.
    2. There is no new currency. It uses AP. Ap is rewarded at the end of the match not during, so if you quit you get no AP.
    3. There will a 10-49 queue.
    4. Game modes are capture the flag, team death match, capture, domination(four point capture).
    5. Killing blow gives you the credit for the score in team death match.
    6. Will last at most 15 minutes
    7. In capture the flag you actually pick up the flag when you click on it like a scroll.
    8. Not entirely sure yet, but capturing a flag in domination will take around 10 seconds.
    9. No NPCs in current game modes.
    10. Alliance points do not go towards Cyrodiil leaderboards.
    11. You earn medals based on what you do in a match and that will translate into leaderboard scores. Each game mode has unique medals.
    12. There will be weekly rewards.
    13. Undecided on whether CP will be enabled.

    Warden:
    12. Described by dev as "Ranger/Druid."
    13. "It's a different style in the sense that it is more of a support style. Like it's got a lot of armoring/survivabilty and a lot of healing. It's more group synergistic than anything we have done before."
    14. "You have to have the bear ultimate double barred if you want it up all the time."

    Balance:
    1. "We're really looking at Balance Hard so expect so more changes there."

    DLC/General:
    1. Planning for two DLCs this year after Morrowind.
    2. You can't join the Morag Tong.
    3. Biggest PvE Zone to date.

EDIT: Updated with stuff I missed

It's a pity if they are mixing premade groups with solo player queues, probably won't even try battlegrounds this way.

I wasn't expecting them to work as transport too like in TES III, so that's also nice.

Would make sense to me. There are currently a ton of invincible builds that four people just won't be able to bring down. Battlegrounds will be boring if the score is 0-0-0 after 15 minutes because nobody was capable of dying. They will have to do something about that.

    1) it's not a great healer, not a great dps, not a great tank but okay at all, aka trials reject; or
    2) it's good at 1 or 2 but not all 3, aka status quo; or
    3) it's great at all, but oh boy here come the nerfs.

If you are going into something already being negative, then what's the point of doing it? Either wait until we see what we are getting and provide feedback or don't comment with a 13 year old mentality.

    Side note from rant:
I hope with bg's they just disable all gear sets and cp and just use a bg specific battlespirit to balance out damage values. This could lead to new players being able to jump in and get better at the game without having to grind for gear.

no not make it easier but make it more accessible.

in like 75% of the games ever made, you dont get to start with a headstart cuz you won last week.
of the remaining 2%% most of them have a handicapping system which helps the weaker player not a reward system that helps the stronger when fighting the weaker/newer.

PVP folks love to say how its about competiton and skill vs skill but also go hog wild for being gold stomping bluebies.

Well, a "gear-neutral" 3-49 level scaled option would give you a chance to prove your skill is what won you or lost you the fight - not your mo' bettah stuff.

Sneaking as a dedicated PVE player that kind of thing WOULD get me to trying PVP. For me to be competition it has to have an even playing field at least... and the current gear-gone-wild in all pvp zones does not come close.

    YMMV

I understand that 2 people going to an Olympiad should not be equal if 1 have been training 5 years, while the other have been eating popcorn during that time...

    "no-CP mode" = exists

Im gonna go ahead and guess that the Warden is going to be a rather bland character with its only redeeming quality being that it can summon a bear. Once the novelty of the bear wears off most will return to their normal characters and the Warden will be a "newbie" class that typically is picked up by new players that havent yet figured out the class is nothing special.

And at the same time, some good and/or "fun" players will take the most of warden and have high-competitive characters for both pve and pvp endgame. Like alway.
I don't know if I am either one of the another, but I'll definitely trying. A whole class with fun or interesting design deserve my attention.

At best, it seems like it will be a class that can work as an off-tank or off-healer in vet trial teams that want that sort of thing, and also function as perfectly decent at any role in dungeons if you build it right (like most classes already can do). It won't end up as a class that absolutely needs to be in your trial team if you're going to be competitive. I fully expect competitive PVP Warden builds to be possible, just because that's already possible with every class. This is the way I'd prefer it, actually: pretty decent, not bad at all, definitely not the top of the heap. I would hate it if the new best class were paywalled behind Morrowind, and I'm glad it looks like that won't happen.

Those who have grinded deserve to be more powerful.

two people sitting down to play chess wont be "equal" either if they have different levels of training and experience... but the better player doesn't get an extra rook ot to have his bishops also move vertically and his knights horizontally one square because he has been playing longer. he has to take those additional years and win with them on an even field.

in competition after competition in game after game after game, where equipment is combined with experience and physicality - the rules for competitive play put massive constraints on the gear that can be used so that it is in fact the training and preparation and expertise of the person that is the deciding factor.

your olympiad is more akin to the difference between a player in eso who ha splayed tons of pvp, has his rotations down and muscle memory as his friend and basically reflexes and hand-eye down to a tee.

of course, as long as their are private custom add-ons - the idea of it being skill v skill is always going to be an amusing facade.

I am playing MMOs since the 90s.

I have seen 2 decades of nerfs in action and I have seen 2 decades where player feedback is completely ignored until something big happens (players riots, mass unsubs and similar).

I have just played SWTOR just in time to see my favourite class be made totally bad.

When I quit ESO (after having been closed beta player etc. etc.) 2 years or so ago, it's because they had made sorcs absurdly bad plus their trial gear was worse than two coppers Martial Knowledge set.

And you come tell me I go negative? I have every good reason to!

Good luck to the devs to balance anything with CP creep on top of gear creep.
