Problem with "deck building" on daggerfall overlook...

So i spent a decent amount of time building a stone block deck off the ocean side wall of the daggerfall overlook castle. Looked good, made it accessible via a ramp, plan was to put target dummies up there. Problem is, the game doesnt seem to recognize the blocks as a true floor. AOE's just kindof disappear and dont actually hit the dummy. I admit i kindof stole the idea from a member here that had a nice looking deck there used as a dueling arena. Is the problem because technically the stone is floating? I tried using the wide wood planks but they had the same result. If anyone has done this before, is there a work around?

I'll upload a video tonight to show if its hard to get what im explaining lol

I mentioned it in another thread: Homestead is for housing ... not PvP Arenas.

However, the good news is that PvP Arenas are coming in June.

I get that, as i said, I wasnt building it as a dueling arena. I was building it for the test dummies. Im more interested to see if other people that have been building extensions to their houses using stone blocks and wood have encountered any issues...

I had that same issue when placing a blockade of fire on my leveled terrace. The effect would go through the terrace and on the floor beneath it.

Seems to me that sometimes you would want to test the dummy as if you were in actual combat, like moving around and dodging and kiting etc. Why would you want this to be up on a platform that you might fall of off if you were to test under combat conditions. As opposed to just standing there which will get you killed more often than not in a dungeon.

Its not a little platform...its a large platform lol. It doesnt really matter at this point, i guess noone else has had the issue. i'll just move the dummys elsewhere

I get the same issue with using the planks from Coldhardbour to build platforms.
