Are we being pigeon holed to spend crowns on decent furnishings?

So be patient. This is supposed to be a long-term system, where you add a little bit to your house every week or so. Some people can spend Crowns to get their houses furnished right away, but if you take the time to earn it, it's a reasonably rewarding system. It just takes some patience to get there.
...Though the drop rate on Heartwood could stand to be bumped a little.

This is why it's called a time sink. I mean, do you really want the devs to just hand everything over? You'll be bored within a week if that were true.

A lot of people seem to miss this. You don't have to be finished in a day. Take some time.
