    I think the fact we've reached a point in PvP where only builds dealing crits can win is a worse problem than Impen.

    Impen was nerfed. It used to reduce the chance for a player to crit against you. It essentially negated crit entirely.

    Impen aint the problem with tanks atm, its block/healing/stupid sets.

    (Don't mean to single your post out its a general thought I've had for awhile.)

    Post like these are the reason the game is all messed up now. Ever since the game has come out its been Nerf this Nerf that. If you haven't noticed ZOS is only good at messing things up so if they Nerf something it isn't going to make something else better you just lose something that has been a staple in the game for a long time and force people to start over with their builds again.

    Unless something is totally broken like templars who used to get stuck in their charge animations for example, then I think people need to just figure out away to beat whatever the current meta is. Constantly asking ZOS to nerf stuff is breaking the game especially PvP where classes can't even perform the way they are supposed to cause their skills are all jacked up due to ZOS trying to appease the Nerf crowd.

    For me personally I mained a night blade from the beginning he started out as a caster, and I even tried Bombing with him but when the Nerf crowd came calling for cloak it ruined the whole night blade experience. Sure infinite cloak didn't seem fair but there were ways to bring a night blade out of cloak. However that wasn't enough so not only did cloak lose its utility of being a purge it also got nerfed so hard that it barely has a place on the bar anymore which is complete bs cause its a staple skill of the class.

    There are examples like this for every class so before we go crying for nerfs how about we think how changing something that is meta will effect the entire player base and the time they have put into the game. Cause once ZOS nerfs something its dead and who knows if they care to balance anything to offset the nerfs

    Yah impen is not what keeps tanks up. It helps sure. There is a lot more at play then impen. Heck, permablockers don't even run as much impending. They run reduced block cost.

    I remember back when impen was same value but top end dps was only 1000.

    It's not all that hard to build a PVP tank without impen that's still unkillable by anything less then a half dozen people. 60k health on a blazeplar goes a long way.

    Impen is kind of the boogieman.

    I would rather pvp with unkillable tanks than with one shot wonders.

    Impen only mitigates crit damage... 2k impen is rougly 18% crit damage (pls correct me im a console player). And to add to what @THEDKEXPERIENCE said, full sturdy tanks with green pact troll king and hist are pretty much unkillable.

    Sorry for the rant now in my opinion there should be passive rewards/punishments for armor selection aside from the passive that come with the skill line. So the current meta is people dpsing in full heavy but also being tanky because its heavy with impen traits.

    A possible solution is movement/attack speed penalty the more armor you have. IRL if you were to have 5 hv pieces of armor there is no way you could attack as fast as someone wearing light armor. So even though you are crazy tanky my light armor build is going to be able to hit you twice if not three times more than you can hit me. Now granted if you do manage to hit me my armor is much lower so it will hurt more.

    I think this could give all armor types a role if they did something like that.

    And you can do the same thing for the skills let's say skills that give dodge chance if you are mostly light armor then your percentage is higher and heavy would have the lowest percentage and medium would fall in the middle.

    I could be way off with these ideas but its better than completely killing a skill or trait cause that is what ZOS does when they Nerf stuff, they make it completely undesirable.

    Which is why these builds are used. Funny how the top % is a whole lot of NB's yet they're so so so bad...

    Agreed I don't see this as a game where you should be able to one shot a player especially if they are the close in level. Unless you are completely specced for crit damage and the person you are hitting isn't but even then it shouldn't do enough damage to where the other character can't react.

    LOL impen is not the source of tanks in pvp, impen is the difference between getting 1 shot and actually participating in pvp.

    Impen is far from being the problem.

    The major problem is when you have people stacking full heavy s&b with 26-30k physical and spell resist than on top of that add into a group with healers that are at or around the same stats .

    Or the best when you have stam classes stacking viper/tremor/selene/Vele. So viper then one of the proc monster sets than widowmaker or eturnal hunt. Almost all stam builds are running the exact same builds.

    So you say impen is the problem. Man go back in your man cave and catch up with reality!
