Why do ZOS not offer more inventory/bank space or armory?

It has been asked for forever and gives more incentive to subscribe if we had an armory bag like the crafting bags where all weapons, armor or combat related items could be stored, or increase cap of bank/invent by 20-40 slots more? It would increase revenue and help with the whole inventory/mule management online sim that puts so many people off playing the game?

Is it a programming issue with items that would create too many bugs? Is it not worth the time investment to do it?

What are the genuine reasons why ZOS has taken so long to address inventory management online. The guild store alliance monopolies and archaic inventory management system are two main reasons why myself and others log in, play for a while and then are put off playing any longer because you have to keep wasting more time mucking around with bags / mules or horrible guild store system even with addons, it's so horrible.

So why ZOS? Why not offer other options when there are so many ideas given in feedback that would make you money...and benefit everyone?

Zos recently stated only 3% have maxed out their storage space as a reason.

    ^ This.

It seems a large portion of the community are not currently taking advantage of the system in place.

The players who have the most legitimate reasons for needing more are non-ESO+ players who have their crafter as their main (so need to hold all materials for all levels, but can't have one alt hold it all and craft with it) and end game players who are holding onto completed sets for meta changes.

what is the max storage space?
My next upgrade costs 60k gold, and I simply cannot justify that.

    Believe it's 240 slots.
Just payed 85k for the last upgrade.
Was hoping for some kind of achievement haha

It's easy to see how it would happen. Cheapskates not wanting to purchase the last 10-20 slots of their bank and/or character inventory alone with people who have alt mules they have not upgraded much.

It's the metrics they want to use though I feel their thought process is flawed.

I've pointed out that SWTOR has more than twice as much storage per character though 500 slots are in ship storage (character bank) and another 500 slots for the account bank that's only accesssable if one owns a home.

I've suggested Zos could do similar except have the character bank only accessible from a him or free apt from a craftable storage unit. The actual storage space would still need to be purchased beyond the first 10 slots just like our inventory is now.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom what do the two of you think about this idea.

I can't justify the large amounts of gold for just 10 more slots.

I'd rather deconstruct and but or farm an item later if I want it.

Limits create difficult choices. It makes you sell or farm/refarm dungeons that keeps people playing the game and the economy ticking over.

It keeps things moving and not just hoarded in banks.

I have played this game since release (with some longer breaks), have multiple maxed / geared toons, have all crafts maxed multiple times, have tons of armour sets/weapons/random stuff in the bank... and guess what. I never maxed out the capacity of my bank or bag space on any character. If you have ESO plus there is no reason to (only if you hoard unnecessary sets). So I kind of get where the 3% come from.

If they add a Armoury storage (that works like the crafting bag) there is no reason to even have a bank and bags anymore. What else is there to put into your bank? So I vote no, I think some inventory restriction is necessary.

But I do agree that the system itself has many flaws. There are many options (that addons deliver atm) that should of been in the base game. The base Guild Store system is atrocious and needs huge adjustments. Search bar anyone?
