Actually the best thing about homestead is that now I can get 6 undaunted keys every day because people actually want to run SotH dungeons hard mode due to guaranteed motif page drop. Before this patch people weren't really looking forward to these dungeons and the group disbanded after the non-DLC ones, or at best only did the normal version for one key - and that's painfully easy and boring. At best they did the vet without even attempting hard mode, especially VRoM of which I only had 2 HM completion since launch, both with my friends. Finally I've had some success in finding other experienced groups for veteran HM pledges in those dungeons and even subsequent motif farm runs. Did two in VRoM of them last night and although it was exhausting it was pretty fun in the end. I love it when I get my build and skill tested to the fullest. By the way my main is Stamina DK tank so if you need one for VRoM and VCoS I am available every evening on EU-PC.

I agree. Rewarding people with sought-after drops for doing difficult content is the only way to keep things interesting.

I also like being pushed to improve. And to get a cool reward for the effort gives me a sense of pride and satisfaction.

... Shame you're on a different platform lol.

I've gotten 10/14 pages from each motif up till now and sold many more doubles on guild stores for 30-50K gold a piece, and the price is not decreasing fast, like for other motifs. Not a bad deal at all. There seem to be more people who have learned the mechanics, though most groups recruited from zone chat are still bad and I tend to avoid them (they are bad for other dungeons too, but the problem is not that acute there). But I have met and added a few good people to my friends list; also people from my PvE guild are pretty solid too. With them there's an usually smooth, wipe-less ~30 minutes run for a motif page. We go to the dungeons more or less regularly to farm.

I've finished farming both motif books last weeks, and practiced them enough since the update to have much smoother runs. One evening I finally decided to give the no death runs a go on my tank with some friends and got both on consecutive runs within an hour without any snags. Last night I was able to run VCOS on my healer without any deaths until the last boss. We decided to go HM and that was pretty difficult, since I don't have that much experience healing and I still lack the PvP support skills on that char, especially barrier to avoid the one shots from the statue AoE and various other mechanics.

A little off topic-- I was with you in last night's CoS group @Asardes. My main is a healer so I understand how unforgiving Velidreth's mechanics can be if you step even one toe a bit too far in one direction or the other! Nice heals and overall group support btw.

I'm actually not that experienced on my healer and she is still missing the PvP skill lines. I can usually run very smoothly in both dungeons right to the boss. But if HM is active I really miss Barrier and Purge - the ritual synergy has a cooldown. I usually cast Barrier quite often on my tank because some things can't be healed or even shielded trough with harness magicka. For example I received 3 "bombs" in quick succession there and although I was block casting BoL and harness it wasn't enough

In the mean time my healer has moved on. Last Friday she healed VAA. I wasn't excited about sending her in at first since she hasn't hit Cyro yet but it worked out pretty well in the end as we finished wit no wipes and only a few deaths overall, mostly from the same guy. I even popped some of those nagging mines so the tank didn't get swamped by the black circles - it always happens when I'm tanking there. Still find healing easier than tanking overall.

In the mean time the interest for the CoS/RoM motifs is dropping though the prices remain high. I've sold a Mazzatun chests motif for 67.5K just a couple of weeks ago. The smaller ones still go for 25-40K.

You're underselling. I put Maz chests for sale for 85k just yesterday and they sold within several hours

Previous chests sold for 90k like 2 days ago. I can feel RoM quickly becoming my favourite dungeon XD I have now tanked, healed AND dps'd it. It's interesting to see the mechanics from different sides.
(that's pc na. Might be different on other servers I suppose)

I only play EU. Prices are a bit lower here I guess. Even plying just one account properly is hard. Couldn't do multiple if I tried.
