Utility of Player Housing

Hi, I'm interested in exploring the actual utility value of player housing as it stands.

As far as I can see, the only utility comes via the crafting stations, and assistants. It would be possible to set up a house you could teleport into, and be immediately surrounded by all of the crafting stations, a merchant, banker, and fence. This would obviously have quite a lot of utility, although I'm not sure how much it would cost to get all of those crafting stations - certainly it's out of my reach.

Has anyone done this yet? Or found some other practical uses for housing?

Unfortunately you have a really good grasp of how to get the most out of your home. The only other things that could be mentioned are the dps target skeleton, and if you enjoy dueling but hate people watching then maybe having a private dueling arena.

I was really excited about the atunable crafting stations, but the work that goes into making one would take so much more time than I will ever spend running to the crafting station.

Right now, it costs 150k per crafting station, or 900k for all of them (not including the dye station). The regular DPS test dummy is currently going for aboit 200k.

Prices on console will be a lot higher because you guys have more inflation (but of course, you also make more money than us).

While I have a big house, I bought the small house apartment in Mournhold. The location provides a free port to some of the best traders, a wayshrine, to crafting stations, and the thieves area, all of which are pretty close to the house.

In the case of the small house apartment in Mournhold, the utility is location.
