Where to store housing items?

I started messing with my house by removing alot of clutter from the garden, now my inventory is full of the stuff.... is there anywhere to store it apart from in the bank or on an alt?

Best way seems to be to buy another house and use it as a "warehouse." The apartments run out of space quickly, so I recommend Humblemud as the cheapest one that has a decent item limit.

    Otherwise, bank, mule, or store.
I am Queen of Typos. If you don't see "Edited by BlackSparrow" above this line, please assume my account has been taken over by scamps and react accordingly.

    My Girls:
    "Elsweyr, yay or nay?"

Nephikah the Houseless, dunmer assassin: "If circumstances try to drive me there, maybe. Right now, it just sounds like a lot of sand in my boots."
Swum-Many-Waters, elderly argonian healer: "The simple thought of it dries my scales. I ventured into Elsweyr long ago, but I may be getting too old to make the journey again."
Silh'ki, khajiit warrior-chef: "This one looks forward to seeing her home sands again. Perhaps she will make her home village many fish sticks!"
Peregrine Huntress, bosmer hunter: "I could do much with a good dragon hide."
Lorenyawe, altmer mechanist: "I see little need to muck about some ancient tomb. Too much work to do elsewhere. No, that was not an intentional pun."
Lorelai Magpie, breton thief: "Stealing from the Ban Daar is always a fun challenge. Sometimes, they steal their stuff back!"
Rasheda the Burning Heart, redguard knight: "While I try to stay at Swum-Many-Waters' side, the whispers of an undead threat worry me."
Hex-Eye Azabi, khajiit daedric priestess: "Perhaps. The lady Mephala spins many webs, and I can see there being benefit in sending me into the path of an undead invasion."
Yngva Stormhammer, nord bandit (reformed...ish): "I hear there will be dragons. I would be a disappointment to my Nord heritage if I did not try to slay them."
Madam Argentia, dunmer aristocrat: "I have little desire to waltz across the desert for weeks at a time. It's terrible for the complexion."
Mazie gra-Bolga, orc scout: "Uh... I'm kinda busy up in Wrothgar, sorry!"
Felicia the Wanderer, imperial witch-for-hire: "The Khajiit usually throw some nice contracts my way. I'm sure Jimila will have something that will take me there."
Calico Jaka-dra, retired khajiit pirate: "This one is happy to check back on her homeland after grand adventures drew her away! Let the kittens call her -dra instead of -daro now!"
Shimmerbeam, blind altmer psijic: "My lady Meridia does detest the undead. I may need to sneak out on my duties on Artaeum to address it."

With the exception of bound furniture items (not sure if you can put in bank/share with alt), you could use your free Alliance Inn Room for storing extra stuff. That requires completing the necessary Alliance quest that you can get from an NPC in the Alliance city bank, and you can start the quest via a Crown Store freebie.

    I'm pretty sure you can.

I just checked on the PTS and I was able to put 3 of the biggest giant trees (sturdy shade, sturdy summer and towering willow) a healthy privet and draped ivy into the smallest apartment.

I used the apartment instead of the inn room because I don't have the inn rooms unlocked on the PTS and you can't buy them without doing the quest at least once, so this was quicker. But the only difference between the inn rooms and bigger houses is the size and item limit. The trees go through the ceiling and walls of the inn rooms, more of them is above the room than inside it. So I can't imagine this would be allowed and putting them in a slightly smaller room wouldn't.

Only problem is when you come to withdraw them you'll have to remember the names, or pull them all out together, because you'll have to get them through the Retrieve tab. Trying to select individual trees with more than about 3 or 4 in there would be a pain.

I have several inn rooms and apartments where I'm getting notices from the landlord about overgrown foliage poking through the ceiling. ;)

Typical MMORPG following what ruins other MMORPGs

    Loot.

Take a step back, go back 2 3 years from now.
You kill something.. You get any loot?
Now kill something today.. You got like 5 different items?
    WTF???

Go play an older game, like Everquest
I want to let you know something since you never played it back in 2000.
When you kill stuff hardly any loot drops at all.
    Now go kill something.
You got 8 pieces of loot??
    WTF???

Is this loot crap or is it worth something?
    Oh its crap??

This is what MMORPGs love to do.
This tells you when MMORPGs are getting old.

When you start looting a bunch of crap and every single monster drops a bunch of crap.
Thing for alchemy, thing for housing, typical drop, thing for some random new quest, thing for this and that.
I aint got time to sort through this stupid stuff.

I choose... No loot, cuz its all crap and crams my inventory.

    Humblemud 40k ( 100 furniture space b2p )

    Autumn's Gate 60k ( 100 furniture space b2p )

Both are relatively small houses and both have yard spaces. I would recommend buying Autumn's gate first. Well sized yard and it is really close to a teleporter.

I have seen images of trees in the houses for gold/crowns, so I suppose you should be able to put them also into the appartments, but I have not tried it out myself

Sorry, I played Ultima Online, not Neverquest.
    UO had the loot.

In fact, when I think about it, ESO is getting more and more UO like, now that they have added housing. All they need now is a chance for dread spiders and liches to spawn when you dig up a treasure chest...
    Oh, and boats!

Ah yes the furniture and item storage nightmare. Purchase one house and will need to purchase more or create storage mules just to have somewhere to place housing items you are not using. Glad I never messed with this Housing crap. With no storage like the crafting bag that should of been added to housing it was a gold or crown rip off from the start. But I see there are some Entrepreneurs that will offer storage space at a cost. One players problem another's gain. There are always some smart players to take advantage of a situation.

Most people here has played Skyrim who have the same issue with worthless loot. Add weight based system so you could not carry back 20 swords or breastplates.
You don't get more loot I think, that is outside of the upper layers of crafting materials who was added after launch and now the housing ones.
For food and for alchemy its not obviously that is useful.

Just a question. Are the recipes I find for chairs, beds, etc only good for houses or can they be sold to other players or are they bound. I know I can sell the recipes, just curious.
